We have been startled a few times by this happening

I've bought three pairs of these (had to replace one my son lost) and I've loved them, but this time the headphone cord broke within the first 3 days of use

These broke the first time they were used

The only small, very small issue we have is that it is not bendable and probably wont survive a long time with our toddler bending and twisting it

He can be a bit rough time with things and has been known to break headphones in the past

Now I can plug in my earbuds and see what he's hearing if he seems to be having a hard time with it
