Logitech Harmony 650 Infrared All in One Remote Control, Universal Remote Logitech, Programmable Remote (Silver)

    • Plug this into your computer, pick your products (the lists are huge including some very old equipment -- which I have in spades), pick which buttons you want to work which functions.
    • If I could change the remote, I would add a few more free buttons between the numbers and dvr buttons
    • You press the wrong button and the volume button doesn't work.
    • The macro buttons are great
    • Very small button icons, and lack of backlighting on the 6 topmost buttons (activity and power off).Other than
    • upper right screen button snags case edge when depressed and doesn’t pop back up without digging at it - a touchscreen might be better but likely much more expensive; colored auxiliary buttons cannot be programmed for favorite TV stations nor closed captioning control, the only way is via onscreen drill down of TV options;
    • The buttons are confusing and half the time it doesn’t work
    • In 3 days my remote will be one year old and for the last few months buttons have stopped working.
    • It is so nice to have one that you don't have to punch the buttons several times to get the function you want
    • love the programability - custom activity buttons are great.
    • Bought this to replace an identical one with sticky buttons.
    • The back lighting on the buttons could be brighter, but honestly, with the screen, the intuitive layout and the dedicated macro buttons, you really don't need to look at the buttons much
    • In less than a year the forward button, jump forward button, back button, jump back button, the previous channel button, and the #3 don't work
    • I had a little trouble with some of the "pre programed" buttons and what they did (like the return/back button didn't do squat, but because Harmony is so flexible I was able to fix it in the software controller quickly and easily!Again, because this is so flexible, my Onkyo receiver which has a second zone on it, I was able to use the "learn" feature and program custom buttons for Zone 2
    • It could use a brighter backlight and an extra button to turn the light on and off.
    • and, finally, the 'ok' button is pretty
    • The buttons started failing within 2-3 years and after a while I had to reprogram it to avoid some buttons altogether
    • My first one only lasted about a year before the buttons failed to work
    • Back button doesn't work on apps, like hulu plus
    • The help would always correct the problem but this would take multiple button pushing to fix. Takes fewer buttons with multiple remotes when the Harmony does not work properly so decided it was not worth it
    • It feels solid and the buttons just "click" really well - sort of like the difference between closing the car door on a high end automobile vs. a clunker.
    • The 4 buttons with soft labels are superior to the 6 on the One since you will rarely hit the wrong button
    • Works incredibly well, build quality is great, button feel is great, ergonomic/easy to hold (you'd be surprised), and button layout is not confusing.
    • The buttons glow orange, not blue like the older Harmony remotes
    • button on the display stopped working, and the finish on the buttons started wearing off
    • In other words, three buttons failed within one year.
    • The only con I have noticed is that the top 4 red buttons don't have a back light like all the other buttons
    • There are so many buttons, some hard to read and while you can program it to do a bunch of automatic stuff, it's really a pain.
    • I recently (September, 2017) purchased another 650 hoping that the button would be more sensitive
    • It will then test your setup by having you hit "all off" (a handy button) and will somehow detect which components are not turning off, and alter programming until they all work
    • Great product; a button fell off
    • The buttons are very nice on this remote control and the remote itself seems very sturdy
    • The 4 buttons with soft labels are superior to the 6 on the One since you will rarely hit the wrong button
    • If one component fails me, I simply hit the button again.
    • My trusty Harmony 670 buttons were getting balky, so I decided to try the 650, because I'm only controlling 4 devices.
    • However, one important button on the ROKU remote that was not included in the Harmony data base for ROKU was the "back" button.
    • The buttons are more solid, and the one-touch activity buttons are convenient
    • Back button doesn't work on apps, like hulu plus
    • We also have another more expensive model and we like this one better because the buttons are more reliable than the touch screen.
    • (Harmony's more expensive models place those buttons at the top, but I would think you'd need two hands for such models: one to hold the base, one to push those buttons.)Hope these
    • Mostly great, with a good layout of buttons, but the buttons are not nearly as responsive as they should be
    • You have to use the stupid screen & buttons to change devices
    • Yes you can program video input to a top master button
    • However, a button fell off in the 1st week and is not able to be fixed.
    • You also have to remember which buttons you programmed since only the top 4 buttons have a custom display
    • Easy to set up smart one-button commands and to add special functions to the color buttons.
    • Could not be easier to set up - and jumping between devices is as easy as a single button.
    • Cover not removable to clean button contacts.
    • The “off” button eventually stopped working, so I had to buy a new one
    • First I mapped all the buttons for each device onto the remote how I like it, and then I put together activities that let you map buttons from all devices onto the same mode
    • I love the 1 button to turn off all the components too.
    • HOWEVER, the buttons that were programmed for different functions don't always work properly or at all
    • You'll find it again next time by pressing useless buttons until you hit the jackpot.
    • The light up buttons topped it for her.
    • Had a Harmony 600 with failing buttons after several years of service, the 650 is very similar except it has a color screen.
    • Very easy to hold and use the buttons and fairly easy to instinctively use and remember how to control my system all on one remote
    • It's comfortable to hold and the buttons are easy to push
    • It solved all of my issues and the easy press one button to perform multiple functions is a game changer for me and my sea of remote controls
    • Intuitive button layout and solid build quality
    • After just 2 months the buttons got messed up.
    • First one lasted me 4 years before the buttons wore out, but still happy enough to get another.
    • It also maps some device functions to strange buttons on the remote
    • The previous unit only lasted 3-4 years and the buttons stopped working.
    • I like hard buttons that you can find by feel without looking, and the 650 provides an adequate number in a good layout
    • When this one came out at the sub-fifty dollar price point, I thought about it for maybe five seconds and punched the buy button
    • Batteries could last longer, have had buttons stop working
    • Also, love the back-lit buttons so you can see what you're doing in the dark.
    • Additionally, once I was able to program the one device it recognized, the buttons still didn't work
    • Works but buttons too small
    • BUT the frequently used buttons fail after 2-3 years necessitating a replacment.
    • As well, reassigning buttons is difficult to find, but after you do find it, it's pretty easy
    • I especially love the help button.
    • Wish top 5 buttons were illuminated but all others are
    • The OK button is too small, you need to use your fingernail to press it without hitting the up down, left right buttons.
    • I like hard buttons that you can find by feel without looking, and the 650 provides an adequate number in a good layout
    • New batteries and clean buttons aside, the performance was noticeably faster than my old model, and the screen was noticeably brighter
    • I really like the button feel and layout of the remote.
    • The buttons are easy to understand and making changes to the functions of each button are so easy
    • The backlit buttons are really nice too.
    • By wears out, I mean the buttons begin to not work without forcibly pressing them.
    • but this is a small thing, and yes, there are free buttons that i could assign the commands to
    • THANK-U
    • Don,t bother with them.
    • Don,t bother with them.
