    • Like a few others, I broke a few e strings
    • Poor quality strings and tuning knobs
    • It is very difficult to play on the right strings because the bridge is not as angled as I would like it and this can make it harder to learn how to play
    • The tailpiece is plastic, and needed a small screwdriver to put in better strings, and the shoulder rest is really not for everyone, but since the violin itself is sound, the accessories can be switched out with better quality
    • I liked everything about this violin but the strings are too short .i recommend this
    • Not to mention that the case is extremely cheap, the strings are awful, and the shoulder rest does not provide good comfort in any way
    • E STRING is soo fragile.
    • The strings are easily broken.
    • Avoid touching the pegs or removing the strings at all costs #7 both the strings, violin, and the bow were rated good by both women
    • The pegs are shipped loosely pushed in, also, any new strings will have tension that pulls back until they are stretched out.
    • Loved the case and extra strings
    • I broke 2 strings before I figured it out.
    • The strings are wonderful, they hardly sound scratchy.
    • Like putting resin on the tuning pegs so they don't slip, buy an extra bridge because no matter which one you buy they are fragile, buy better strings and a real thing of resin (the stuff that comes with it is difficult to apply).
    • The extra strings, I haven't needed them yet, but again, always nice to have back ups
    • I put the Celilio strings I removed from my Mendini onto my Windsor and it immediately improved in tone, but was not anything like the Mendini with the Pirastro Tonicas
    • The strings are mediocre but suffice to learn on - replace them when you are ready

    • The bow had strings broken off almost like it was used and the rosin is all broken up in little pieces.
    • The pegs don't stay in place, I broke 2 strings that came with it just trying to tighten them to playing level, not even close to in-tune
    • The strings work but need to be upgraded for better quality sound and the rosin needs to be upgraded as well
    • The second concern I have is the thinnest strings, honestly, I strongly recommended you to buy extra string with about $15 dollars, because for beginners, strings is so important, sometimes you do not know the poor performance is due to the strings or something else,I think a $15 strings may do the job
    • The next day the strings were extremely loose
    • The strings, are decent
    • The strings are terrible, and I'm not even sure if they produce sound because I was not able to even play the instrument in the few
    • even trying to tune the instrument like the learning video said didn't work and just busted two strings after barely tightening them.
    • The violin is OK, but the strings are cheap and the bow is not well designed for use

    • Didn't get a chance to try as it arrived with powdered rosin and broken strings
    • The only problem was with the E string peg - rotates back when trying to tune the string - not enough friction, needs to be adjusted (rubbing with rosin should help).UPDATE: Next time managed to tune E string too just by pushing the peg in while turning
    • The rosin was decent, the strings are good enough and there is a second set
    • I guarantee you that you will break the A string if you try to tune it to E!
    • strings are junk,
    • The strings are made of steel difficult to play on
    • The strings do not stay right in place
    • For anyone unfamiliar with violins looking through the comments, something that you probably don't know is that the strings will be very hard to tune for a few days as they are brand new strings
    • We replaced the strings and that improved the sound
    • string was broken when shipped to me.
    • Very poor quality was never able to use this product because the strings always ended up too loose

    • The low string is difficult to make any noise out of still
    • the strings are all wrong

    • The second concern I have is the thinnest strings, honestly, I strongly recommended you to buy extra string with about $15 dollars, because for beginners, strings is so important, sometimes you do not know the poor performance is due to the strings or something else,I think a $15 strings may do the job
    • Ok now for the bad.the real complaint is that these strings are terrible which is not the end of the world.
    • I did put some good strings on this violin almost out of the box, and she's got a nice bow, so the quality of the sound is actually really good.
    • The strings are decent student quality strings
    • The strings are holding their pitch well ( just stretching a little as all new strings do), Bows are straight, and the hair tightens well
    • The strings do not stay in tune very well at all and often come out of tune immediately, but price-wise, I really can't complain.
    • The strings were so loose, I practically could have braided the strings
    • I measured my MV300 and saw that its body length was 13.5 inches and with a string length of 12.5 inches consistent with a 7/8 size violin
    • The strings were not great and kept breaking.
    • The strings are mediocre but suffice to learn on - replace them when you are ready
    • The strings are always coming loose and my daughter can't tune the violin.
    • but when we received it, the whole thing was so flimsy and the strings kept falling part
    • I took it to her music teacher to have it professionally tuned and every time she tried to tighten the strings tuning pegs G and A would loosen up, then the strings started to unravel revealing the copper underneath!
    • Because of this the strings were so lose they just kinda hung
    • The String got broken on the same day while fixing by the music teacher and she suggested to always get things from music store, touch, take a feel and play if you know or ask for assistance or you may take someone who knows
    • I broke my 2nd string because I had a senior moment and forgot it was supposed to be tuned to A.
    • So I immediately broke the E string
    • I understand it is a 1/4 and a bit smaller and the strings are more sensitive, but you barely tune a sharp higher and the strings start snapping out
    • the strings are crisscrossed causing the E string to break during tuning cutting the crap out of my wife's finger.. the thing should at least come strung without the wires being crisscrossed causing you to not be able to tune it and causing UN-needed stress on the wires that are under the top wire and causing high tension breaks
    • The pegs are slipping, and the strings are easy to break
    • Set up was tricky, and I broke the G string during tuning
    • The pegs would not hold tight so every time my daughter would run the bow over the strings the strings would loosen and collapse making the instrument impossible to play
    • It is not completely put together, the strings are a bit loose and the bridges and rest are not in place, this is because a violin should be shipped this way to prevent damage or bending if everything is tight
    • That or a better bow and strings
    • Definitely save your money, brought this for my girlfriend to learn on, I have been playing for years, out the box; it looked nice but the strings was missing and some of the bow didn’t have all of the hairs on it.
    • Nut or bridge is cut shoddily, leading to broken strings
    • I would recommend getting better strings and a better rosin.

    • Like a few others, I broke a few e strings
    • String was broke right out of the box
    • The string broke on the first day.
    • The string was too loose, and the rosin didn't even work and I did it for an hour and a half.
    • A string broke immediately when my daughter tried
    • one failure of tuning was the g string
    • It has good sound for the price, but I would suggest immediately investing in better strings.
    • The G string also will not stay in place on the bridge and nearly falls off if it's touched even slightly
    • Also had to invest in better strings.
    • The strings that came with the violin, are also decent, they don't sound scratchy and they do have a warm tone to them
    • The strings are extremely cheap and the craftsmanship was terrible
    • The instrument comes with very poor quality strings, that can be dangerous when they break (they become quite sharp).
    • The strings are cheap, and so is the
    • The strings are difficult to adjust and they don't stay at the desired
    • You can pimp it or make it better by buying new better strings and a bow
    • The rosin that came with it worked great, should rest is good quality and the original strings have worked well the bow is good quality all for the price
    • and if you replace the horrible stock strings with Fiddlerman violin strings (available on Amazon) is a great purchase
    • The strings sounded more like a plastic than wire.
    • The strings are incredibly fragile, and even after necessary repairs, the A-string will not tune
    • but it did come with some extremely loose strings
    • Quality is not great: the bow came very slightly warped, the sound is fairly thin and raspy even in the hands of a good player, the strings are mostly junk.
    • Other than that it's a nice looking very complete kit with a good bag, extra strings, and a dodad you don't need for your shoulder
    • The D string was hanging on for dear life
    • After that, I can see where the strings moved about and scratched the neck.
    • Rosin included along with extra strings, sounds perfect.
    • and if you replace the horrible stock strings with Fiddlerman violin strings (available on Amazon) is a great purchase

    • And the strings are terrible!!

    • the bow and all the accessories were good quality and the extra strings were definitely a bonus
    • Peg of A string broke and case collapsed after 3 month use
    • Now the bad, the violin pegs are crooked, the resin broke on the first use, the bridge is very cheap and easily broken, the strings are like the bridge, and the bow was unusable
    • A very obvious defective item sent : broken box, and with very thick tape around looks like the box was re-sealed many times,E string is not working at all, and bow holder was broken too
    • Also, buy new/better strings.
    • I recommend buying a violin from fiddlershop they have excellent violins which although are significantly more expensive will make you want to play instead of crying in frustration with a violin that can't keep its pitch for 10 minutes, will have you break the strings while tuning with the horribly fitted pegs, and when you play harder on the strings (mezzo-forte or fortissimo
    • beautiful, i love it, just you have to buy better strings
    • So the strings easily come loose
    • Fake, all the strings broke after first use.
    • I have problem tuning G string, but everything else looks fine.
    • Needed new strings but works great for the kido
