These Midland Radios gave us excellent result: great size, excellent range, durable, good quality, easy of use, good volume, easy to operate, great battery life, and have a good price

Pretty good battery life is not great (but I believe the ones I bought here we're designed for maximum range

Not to mention the battery life is awesome and the weather channel capabilities are a definite plus, they come in handy on days when life is spent in the great outdoors.

That said, if the Midland has sufficient range for YOUR use, it's compact, easy to operate, good battery life.(Remember, with most any GMRS radio of max range you must use the GMRS channels (not the FRS) and may have to go into the menu and set the power for that channel to "H" , high.)I guess you could say this is a two product personal comparision

Battery life was great, at least 3 days of life when turning on the radios every 2 hours for check-in.

Kids love them good battery life.

Don't get me wrong, the battery life is excellent, but they'll go from a half charge indicated to dead in about 45min in cold weather.

Clear sound and a better than average battery life

Other than the cheap-o earpiece and mic attachment - these little babies pack a punch, feel excellent in the hand, great sound, long battery life with rechargeable batt-pack, multi-function, FRS/GMRS with incredible range in urban setting.

Battery life on our first set was very good with an hour of regular use followed by 8 hrs standby (turned on, off of the charge base, on High power with the volume turned all the way up

We haven't tested the range but the clarity is great, the battery life is good and overall we are really happy with these.

Can't say that I put them to the test however battery life was a good at about 40 hours

Radios worked as or better than expected

a waysI don't know about the 36 miles range, but they sure work well at 3-4 miles range in the woods, as well as in a big concrete and steel building in a metropolitan area.

They helped to facilitate intermittent conversation between my wife and I as we travelled across the great expanses that makeup our great country.

I use our radios at our cabin in the mountains as well as on job sites.

but these are not to bad as we have gotten use to then

They won't work nearly as well as much more expensive HAM hand held radios but they generally allowed communication when we tried.

We have 2 with extra batteries, highly recommended as they work great for what they were designed to do.
