With the addition of special characters like Freddy Kreuger, in my opinion the best serial killer from the 80's and 90's, and Kratos, one of the best action characters of the past 2 console generations, also in my opinion, you cannot go wrong.

This game is great, i use to play it with my girlfriend and have a lot of fun togheter, the characters and the battle system is really good, the graphics are also pretty fine

I play single player, so I can't really comment on character balance, which leads to my next point

I prefer this as opposed to "3D" because you don't have to chase your opponent around as much or constantly realign your character so you aren't missing your attacks

This is the game i was checking out... the komplete edition, it comes with all the dlc characters, soundtrack and mortal kombat movie (the original one), very recommended!
