Need for Speed Most Wanted - Playstation 3

    • I always found the "over the top" racing incredible fun
    • You can enable and disable mods at-will, even returning the car to its original state (which makes for an interesting test of skill in Easy races, but is nigh impossible for Medium and Hard). As for the multiplayer - it's pretty darn thrilling
    • and there are a few glimmers of fun here, but they are few and far between and were consistentaly interrupted by the vulgarities that exit my lips as I loose another race for the 20th time in a row.
    • You get these by near misses, oncoming traffic, jumps, air, takedowns, winning races, etc.
    • Some races can be hard
    • Most Wanted (2005) is still my most favorite racing game of all time
    • worst of all, despite a chorus of complaints from fans of need for speed, reviews of rivals make it clear that criterion intends to continue to (expletive) all over what was once the greatest racing franchise in the industry.
    • Some races are waaay to difficult
    • but I don't like the fact that you have to go online to play any form of multiplayer even if it's just a split screen race
    • Classic racing exploring game
    • Gameplay-wise your palms will get sweaty when racing or being chased by the police and they will sweat because you have to earn each escape or victory
    • You don't buy the parts by earning money, instead you win races and then just get the parts
    • but it improves race by race.
    • and then it will begin to slow down still with the trigger pressed loosing many races like that with different cars
    • the career mode is pointless, you start with a 911 that can get u through most of the game, and u start with most cars, the other cars and parts u get by just winning races.
    • The racing, graphics, new city, etc are all great, but they took out too much of the game and just made it a series of races in different cool cars.
    • Rubber banding ensures that even if you have a perfect race, the AI will almost always keep up
    • If I want a good racing game its what I play
    • Game feels cartoonish, felt like GTA games had better racing feel
    • races about half are things like dune jumping or takedown competitions where you need to crash the other peoples cars not races and even more frustrating most of the time you are restricted on the vehicles you can use and will have to use a regular car instead of a sports car or muscle car which takes the fun out completely of an intense racing experience this multiplayer could have been much much funner if they didnt put in these absurd restrictions or added a simple filter for match making.overall this game could have been much better if they did more work on the multiplayer the racing is spot on and the cars are beautiful but the problems that are there are frustrating.
    • There is an attempt to make the racing seem like a simulator by making it extremely difficult
    • But still a good racing game
    • My favorite racing game for the PS3.
    • I love this game, great racing game for arcade racing fans
    • Overall Criterion makes another great racing game despite being a little frustrating at times.
    • I wish there were split screen play, but that aside, it is an awesome racing game with a beautiful open world and set pieces that rival those in the major big budget titles
    • The best racing line through a corner may well be occupied by a car sitting at a stop light
    • * you can game this by driving a bad racing line that happens to have a high top speed, but I could be wrong
    • This game is super fun and the races are very tense
    • (Seems vast at the beginning but less longer you play, also has several spots that you'd think are linked together but you cannot access); Story (I personally could care less for story backdrop); Crash sequences (they are only about 3 or 4 seconds when they happen)It ends up being a game that could be better but is a very good racing game on its own merit especially if you have no preconceived expectations.
    • While the races are very easy, the outruns are very difficult
    • Though the racing is solid, in my opinion it left me wanting more.
    • This game ultimately is a hybrid between the 2 most popular racing franchises of the last decade, NFS and Burnout.
    • For those that love racing games this is a great buy
    • I see others saying races are easy - which I could agree with EXCEPT when they involve the cops as well which is supposed to be the fun part
    • My 9 year old loves cars, racing and all that goes with
    • I've won many Hot Pursuit online races because of the precision of mere inches between cars in a drift while fighting my way through traffic to the finish line
    • This on the other hand wouldn't even let me win one race and not because the AI is terribly challenging but because the environment and bad controls make it impossible not to crash
    • Since each car has specific races associated with that car only, if there are cars you absolutely hate, you will NOT be able to enjoy those races
    • The Most Wanted races are very easy; in fact, they are easier than the races required to unlock car upgrades
    • I stil won the race by a comfortable margin.
    • Practice up, Its hard until you get your bearings, then it becomes one of the best racing experiences around
    • The races are pretty boring if you ask me
    • your opponents blow by you like you're standing still (even while holding down the nitrous button) and if you so much as tap something head on your car crashes, and there's no way to mod your cars unless you win races (one of the big fun factors of the original nfs most wanted).
    • NF:MW is rooted in fast and furious street racing, with traffic, cops, and brutal crashes
    • The graphics are extremely well polished and the racing as well as just driving around are extremely fun
    • Very cool racing game, you will find dificulty for all kind of players and you will find al the best cars of the world
    • Update great racing game, single or multiplayer game, iif u enjoy racing games u will love this one
    • For a long time, Midnight Club L.A. had been my favorite racing game, not only because it had a decent story, but good car simulation, races, and just the fact that it was open world
    • Criterion knows how to make good racing games, but they don't seem to understand the fundamentals of what makes a Need For Speed game
    • I love the auto racing and driving games, and this did not disappoint wholly smokes this game if fun
    • The whole point of the system used is to make it fast, but mid-race it just makes you crash and burn
    • Since this is just about racing the AI and bashing each other in and drifting and all that Jazz, it's a 5/5, Platinum Rating game
    • Although the races may eventually seem repetitive, it's worth giving Criterion a chance and give it a go
    • A great racing game, no doubt about it.
    • It's intense racing through the city
    • Great racing series.
    • Great graphics, challenging races
    • Great racing
    • Cars share races, though what you face is different and what difficulty it's assigned to can be different (e.g., the "Cold Burn" circuit race is one of the 911 Carrera S's medium difficulty races but the 918 Spyder Concept's easy race)
    • Gone are the possibilities of winning a race multiple different ways including takedowns, short-cuts and/or speed, only to be replaced by undefeatable AI
    • All too often winning is less about driving a good racing line (since, as I said, your opponents' cars are arbitrarily fast) and more about avoiding crashes
    • If you loved the best racing game of all time (Underground and Underground 2) you will be in love with this game
    • Admittedly, this difficulty is probably as a result of the AI's ability to selectively cheat (or become handicapped) in order to keep the racing somewhat competitive
    • I like the races and all, but the camera views suck.
    • Trying to do this in Most Wanted will cause you to miss a checkpoint and essentially lose the race
    • You earn "speed points" even if you lose a race or just driving around, which helps to get you closer to the next "Most Wanted" race
    • I like the races and all, but the camera views suck.
    • The getaways are nice, but I think the most reward comes from the time and speed trials and the Hard races
    • one of the best racing games i ever played
    • If you just want a FUN racing game where the objective of the game is to have FUN, Most Wanted is a MUST
    • this is by far the best drift/racing game I've ever played.
    • A great racing game, no doubt about it.
    • example: lightweight chassis give you more speed and are better for fast races, but suck when trying to go against the cops.
    • Since I wrote this review, I took the game to a friend of mine to see somebody else suffering as I did and after 50 minutes of him playing it and giving it a second chance we reached an accord, this game its awful.
    • I love this one more as i use it with my wheel which makes it awesome
    • Spiritual successor to burnout paradise, but not as great as that was.
    • Outside of the racing events, there are also ones that involve getting away from the cops (wreck your friend=them getting busted and disowning you) as well as who can drift the most, get the most air, break the most billboards, etc
    • Outside of the racing events, there are also ones that involve getting away from the cops (wreck your friend=them getting busted and disowning you) as well as who can drift the most, get the most air, break the most billboards, etc
    • I would have been PISSED if I paid the $10 for a online pass and the multiplayer sucked as much as I thought it did
