Could NOT have been easier to get it setup to replace my now-dead 4 y/o NetGear router.

NETGEAR never disappoints the customer on quality and its the same with this product as well

Of course there is way to re-badge a Charter device back into a genuine Netgear device but this involves a firmware downgrade to the oldest available version, a special software called "telnetEnabler", and some command line instructions in order to burn the genuine Netgear board_id into the router

This is basically your good Netgear router.

To add to this, the recent example of Netgear's complete lack of commitment to security should make any consumer or professional run screaming (kbcert 582384, which basically recommended that users stop using Netgear routers while Netgear ignored the problem for months).

Recently the security issue #582384 that affects other top Netgear router did not affect this router and for that I am glad

Netgear refuses to return the defectively designed router and give me a refund.

Major disappointment however is, ever since I connected my Ethernet Cable from my desktop PC to the router the internet connection on the desktop PC keeps on cutting in and out, this was not occurring on my prior, less expensive Netgear router

I was also impressed by the Netgear Genie software which allowed me to monitor network performance and both N and AC signals

The 2.4g wifi on this router keeps dropping out, while the 5G is fine.

This router provides both 5G and 2.4G bands, and very easy to use and set up

it looks like a retrending machine， doesnt support 5g looks dirty

The set up was very simple and all my devices seem to really like the 5g set Up.

It works as it should using an older WNR2000v5 set to AP mode connected to a LAN port on the 4300v2 to provide a 2nd 2.4Ghz WiFi CH for older slower WiFi devices I have

This thing is crappy for some reason it doesn't work as

Wifi printing is just as fast as if my computer was plugged into the printer itsel.

I now have full coverage in all my rooms as well as in my front and back yards

For as big as the case is on this I don't see why the manufacture didn't add a small fan to it to help reduce heat, which as warm as it gets this could cause issues with the router over a period of its lifespan.

Works as it should when given a good signal.
