    NETGEAR Wireless Router - N300 (WNR2000)

    • The speed is low, and the signal is not stable
    • Worked fine for 3 months then wouldn't send a wireless signal.
    • Signal is always strong, even 50-100 ft
    • After doing that the wireless signal remains secure indefinitely unless the router is booted again
    • I set it up in my basement and I am able to get great signal (5/6 bars) on my second floor.
    • good product! small size with stable internet signal especially with this price
    • I placed this router in the section of my house which is far away from my original WiFi router, hence to boost the signal
    • Easy to install and powerful signal compared to my old Belkin model F5D7230-4
    • I bought this router back in July and was losing the signal 3-5 times a day.
    • I get great signal continuously and recommend this as a great value.
    • The signal is excellent and reaches everywhere on my
    • The signal is clear and have had no drops from the internet, as I have read reviews on other products that do this.
    • Super fast, strong signal, good reach, simple setup
    • If you have 3 or more walls separating your device and the router, the signal strength and streaming capability drop noticeably
    • The router has good signal strength, that better than a higher priced ASUS router equipped with external
    • I have excellant signal all over the house.
    • Although I have had no problems with the wireless coverage of the Apple Base Station, I would assume this uses a lot more power to provide a stronger signal). With Netgear WNR2000, the vertical setup allows a bit more wireless coverage and hopefully less power.
    • Stronger signal distance, but more interruptions in signal then my previous router.
    • Works as it should and has good signal strength.
    • Some folks have said it would break early, but I haven't had any problems with it, and my signal's much stronger.
    • Provides a strong signal in my apartment and the WPS is extremely simple to use
    • Not a real strong signal over 20 feet
    • Also signal is stronger than previous router
    • During the Netflix episodes, the signal wouldn't completely go away, but would slow down such that I could watch 2 minutes of program after 5 minutes of loading (that was lots of fun)
    • Software cannot be updated from their website in case of loosing wireless signal (google this, a well-known problem) in whih
    • when you are in the same room as it, the signal is excellent
    • I bought this and turned off the WIFI signal (as the metal box kills the signal).
    • Casts a good signal of decent WiFi range
    • Even if you're sitting right next to it, you can lose signal and often times, the router will just reset or refresh itself kicking off any connected devices.
    • Perfect for limited space and if other signals aren't a issue.
    • my router is upstairs & my laptop is mainly downstairs - always gets an EXCELLENT signal.
    • I then have another router i placed elsewhere in the house that allows me to get a stronger signal since there is no interference with the metal box
    • Stronger signal distance, but more interruptions in signal then my previous router.
    • The signal range is adequate for our 800 square foot house, but even in our small home the signal is fairly weak on the opposite side of the house
    • Also, power users who do a lot of video streaming, connect multiple computers to WiFi, require gigabit Ethernet ports, or want an extremely strong signal with maximum range may want to consider Netgear's RangeMax routers.------Update (January 2010): I am now using this router with an i7 iMac running system 10.6.2 without any problems
    • Decent signal even extends outside
    • It allows me to access the internet throughout my entire house with a fairly strong signal.
    • My desktop connected via Ethernet worked fine, but wireless machines had no data transfer even though the wireless signal was quite strong.
    • HOWEVER, now whenever I restart the router, it repeatedly reboots itself randomly about every 5 minutes, losing all my wireless signal in the process
    • , I was happy with the instructions and the signal is great for our laptops
    • I can get a decent signal 300 feet away.
    • The router has no wifi power setting which is frustrating when you have two that are too close with overlapping weak signals
    • Wireless computers (mostly G cards) are showing a stronger signal than my old router
    • Once I find a port that works, I get great signal and connectivity, but if you're on a port with conflicts then performance is horrible
    • Devices in the same room work great but devices down the hall in our house get a poor signal, and frequently experience connection drops
    • and I still get lackluster signal strength at one end or the other of home
    • This Netgear is solid and has excellent range and signal throughout all three levels of our home.
    • We get a strong signal in every room of our 900 square ft apartment
    • I use a NETGEAR N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender, Essentials Edition (EX2700) to push a stronger signal to the carport and driveway for the mobile phones
    • Very reliable wifi signal
    • Easy setup, steady signal, great range -- we've had several routers and this is by far the best in all three of those categories
    • Junk, it had full signal, connected to router full signal, but would not connect to anything from Roku, TV, Ipad, Iphone, Wii, or TV via LAN port
    • I have noticed that the signal drops on irregular intervals between 270 thru 130 mbps, and the signals from other devices interfere with each other, which brings me to my next point
    • Also, just for the heck of it, I walked outside with my Dell laptop and was able to get to about 120 feet before I lost the signal, and this is going through an outside wall, of course.
    • This Netgear has worked OK but being as I have it installed in the basement I find that the signal is certainly not as strong as I would like it
    • Signal was consistently poor
    • you get a weak cable signal then the unit instead of trying to raise the signal it drops itPros
    • No signal after 6 months, called Tech Support
    • I am only running 2 wireless computers and 1 wired xbox through it, but it has held a strong signal all through the house, obviously much faster than the Wireless B signal
    • Good signal
    • The first, very noticable difference between the two is the Netgear's lack of external antenna(s)
    • Problems which could be causing the problem1) using different operating systems in the same network..2) using my laptops which are only wireless G capable to connect to the router which is wireless N..but which is backward compatible
    • It offers NO improvement over the less expensive G routers
    • The wireless speed seems slower than my previous linksys G on my cell phone of all things.
    • My existing router was a Linksys WRT54GS, which had good wireless-G speeds (I couldn't complain) and excellent uptime, stability, and reliability
    • Her connection speed (download) tops out at its maximum of 1.2 Mb/s (MegaBYTES/second) on the laptop(wireless-g)
    • I called because I need a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number as per the warranty info printed on the site
    • I'm giving this router one start because I shouldn't have to employ work around's to get a product to work as it is intended to work.
    • " and I'm happy to say that my answer is "yes, definitely."The WNR2000 is easy to set up and use; it's every bit as fast as it should be in wired mode and its wireless range and power surpass my expectations
    • What a pain the a**.
    • it all works as it is supposed to
    • Netgear has lost be as a
    • Didn't really work as I had hoped, requires ethernet connection, will not work on USB drive.
    • NetGear technical forum helped to reset the channel to desired one (6 or 11) and now working fine as of today!. Hope so there wont be any other issues,
    • Hopefully it continues to work as it had previously for 16 months.
    • It's smaller than I thought with no external antenna, which is ok with technology as good as it is now.
    • The speed also is as fast as if I were on my home computer
