Ninja Professional 72 Oz Countertop Blender with 1000-Watt Base and Total Crushing Technology for Smoothies, Ice and Frozen Fruit (BL610), Black

    • If you pay attention while using and cleaning, I don't see this as a product defect but more as a misuse issue (like accidentally hitting the open lid against the side of the sink)
    • I've had 2 ninja blenders, and both have had the same issue: the lids keep breaking in the same way: the spring in the handle breaks so that the handle is stuck in the down position
    • This blender was intimidating at first with how the lid is secured and the multiple blades it has
    • Fantastic Lid Lock
    • After a couple months, the lid broke in two: literally
    • However, the construction can be awkward to handle and the lid is sometimes hard to lock in place.
    • A few weeks after purchasing the blender, the lid got "stuck"/the release button did not work.
    • I love the locking lid and the small opening to add more liquid if needed.
    • The lid started leaking
    • The second time (BL610), the lid broke AGAIN, this time within the warranty period
    • Either the pitcher cracks, the plastic tabs at the bottom fall off, the lid mechanism breaks (I took apart the lid and determined the flaw in manufacturing that is causing all my lids to fail, but the company wouldn't put me through to engineering to show them my findings). All in all they have sent me two pitcher kits for free under warranty, and when this one inevitably breaks I will just go back to BestBuy and get a new blender
    • First I had to replace the pitcher because my daughter didn't know how to release the lid and broke one of the little grabber pieces off, mostly human error, whatever
    • The lid and blender are defective
    • Light weight the lid is sealed tight no leaks
    • The manual said the lid is top rack dishwasher safe, which now we are doubtful about..
