Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP - Cobalt

    • the sp has a back light and id great for poweroutages
    • The lighting is obviously good in the dark, but it works impressively well in daylight (e.g., in the bright sun at 2pm at an open baseball stadium)
    • My first peeve was that you had to have a really bright light to play it in dim areas, and if it were too bright, you would get a great deal of glare.
    • it is worth it every dollar is worth it,its waaaaaaaaay lighter than the normal game boy which I have and
    • Good:*Screen = lighted, bright with a on/off button*Buttons = feel "solid", no more mushy buttons*Folding design
    • Finally, I am frustrated by the uneven lighting of the original model, another reason why I reccomend the SP lite
    • The discription said it was going to be in very good condition, when I received it the power switch is not working properly therefore the low battery red light will always be on and the speaker is blown out, so, if I want to listen to the games music it sounds like dubsteep ear rape
    • In review:Pros:- Excellent back-light
    • so he/she won't need to worry about having a bright light for the Gameboy Advance
    • this light is very efficient(no part of the screen without light) and even in the day you see the images better that with full external light
    • I'm sure that the third party market that has made a mint off lights for the GameBoy and original GameBoy Advance systems are very mad, but this internal light is even better than any of the numerous add-
    • I love the light
    • Other positves included the folding design which protects the screen and a nice charge light that lets you know when the unit needs charging
    • The light on this thing is the best available for the Game Boy Advance
    • On the high setting, even in a well lit room, it is obnoxiously dim.
    • AGS-001 which some places sell because no body wants that model because it has poor front lighting and many don't no the difference and get ripped off
    • It has poor lighting, poor size, and it is oddly shaped
    • Was advertised as like new, but came dirty, in poor condition, and with a broken back light.
    • Just keep the light turned off when you have good lighting to play under, and the battery will keep you going for a good 12 hours
    • I used to have too many problems with trying to find the right lighting for the old game boy
    • Well, there's a light inside the screen that you can turn off or on (without will save you battery life)
    • The idea of a Gameboy is a portable game system, and the SP is a very portable system; nice pocket size, long rechargable battery life, front lighting allows game playing in more settings, light weight, and the notebook form factor even protects the screen on the road!
    • -the light isn't the brightest
    • the light on it is dim, but manageble.
    • The older version, while a technological marvel when it came to the handheld gaming platform was hampered by the lack of a backlight, the dark shadings of most of its games, and the truly atrocious external lighting accessories that could be purchased for the system.
    • It is not only frontlit as well as backlt, it also is more evenly lit in general, and has much better color saturation
    • The light on the screen is broken and will not light up so its no good for my needs when I'm trying to play
    • She used to play the old gameboy and the light wasn't bright enough to see it in the dark..the light on this system is so bright that now she covers her head or turns the light off and says "I can play this in the dark".
    • She used to play the old gameboy and the light wasn't bright enough to see it in the dark..the light on this system is so bright that now she covers her head or turns the light off and says "I can play this in the dark".
    • It folds like a mini laptop, has a slightly bigger screen, improved back light so you can play in dark places and is backward compatible with all Game Boy and Game Boy Color games
    • The light shines as bright as it can get (10/10),
    • In review:Pros:- Excellent back-light
    • Still, as we all know the GBA has a terrible light problem and I travel fairly
    • I'm sure every other person who's reviewed the Game Boy Advance SP has told you about how great the light is, and how it's a let
    • it would have been nice to know that when lit up the screen becomes funky, for lack of a better word
    • The lighting is very good
    • Well, the light I had for it died, and I couldn't find a replacement.
    • Yes you can actually view the action on the screen without having to tilt the screen to get "the right light", or using an annoying worm light.2.
    • It also means that you no longer have to attach awful lights just to see the screen
    • the light up screen makes it well worth the extra $$$ no lights to buy and a rechargable battery that alone makes it worth it
    • Don't rely on that; the only time the system is comfortably usable without the light is in bright light (like sunlight)
    • Fist, the light.
    • The SP's light is a perfect, even, white glow that even serves to give the illusion of a higher resolution for the screen!Batteries are a thing of the past with the Lithium Ion battery [and included charger]
    • I wanted to play my old gameboy color Legend Of Zelda games without having to shine a desk light on the screen just so I could see it
    • this is not the model that the light is brighter but mines still good
    • the light was so bright and the colors looked great
    • But, you also get some of the things that made companies like Mad Catz and Interact fortunes: screen protection, perfect lighting, and easy transport! The front lit screen is the optimal artificial lighting means, where a lamp can add a yellow glow and/or glare, light adapters provide a clunky object that hinders field of vision, and even the famous Afterburner can produce an uneven glow [not to mention the required "operation" you put your system through!
    • The light is absolutely amazingly handy, the fold down screen is as well, the buttons are comftrable and it is very portable
    • The light is bright, the screen is clear, and the battery plays on forever
    • It works fine the light is just annoying
    • save you a lot of money on batteries, the warning light works nicely, it feels like a sleek, modernized version of a vintage NES controller to hold, the frontlit screen (the lights, if you hold the SP at an angle, are actually placed around the perimeter of the front of the screen) minimizes glare and allows players to fully appreciate the system's graphical capabilities and the whole thing is compatible with existing Gameboy and Gameboy Color titles (except Kirby's Tilt-and-tumble).Casual gamers who decided not to get a Gameboy Advance because the combination of unlit screen and lots of colors made the games hard to see will be greatly relieved, as, after comparing my favourite games with the light on and off, the light makes a drastic improvement.
    • Her older brother, who normally would rather be caught dead than with something pink, actually traded gameboys with his sister because the "lighting and screen are so much better" on this version of the SP
    • The light for the screen is weird but
    • Even in good lighting, I bet you will still prefer to have the light on
    • works great regular screen light and the brighter button, works great sound and all a few scratches here and
    • The lighting was a tad to dark even with the light enhancer button, but it works and it holds a
    • It has a backlit screen, much to the joy of those who (like me) have spent hours trying to see through the glare of a GBA light or play in bad lighting.
    • The feel is spectacular, if you are worrying about being cramped, DON'T it is just like holding a GBC/GBP and it has an AWESOME light up screen
    • Light is better than no light.)The Game Boy Advance is compatible with the Game Boy and Game Boy Color games, but once again, it has a new library of games...and it had enough to make it as its own system
    • When we first got the GBA, we immediately had to get a good light to mount on it (80% of the ones on the market were hardly usable)
    • In the long-run, you will most likely earn back all the money that you paid for the SP, because you will no longer need to buy expensive lights and batteries, until the rechargeable battery dies
    • The improved screen is soooo much better lit
    • It is now possible to pla your gameboy in any lighting through light under the screen, which casts perfect light to every piece of the screen
    • The lighting in and of itself is worth upgrading.
    • You cannot get sufficient lighting to play them on an airplane, let alone in a car at night
    • The back-lighting is great and the size of the system itself is pretty nice
    • The light on it is also a bit dim but not problamatic.
    • Awesome back light with allows you to play anywhere
    • The feel is spectacular, if you are worrying about being cramped, DON'T it is just like holding a GBC/GBP and it has an AWESOME light up screen
    • Just bought this one last night for my hubby for Christmas as he keeps stealing mine for the better light than the old GBA he has.
    • LIGHT!!Oh they finally got the smarts to place a stupid light in the thing!4.Game variety-you can play every GB-GBC-GBA Game on this thing.5.Got a
    • The feel is spectacular, if you are worrying about being cramped, DON'T it is just like holding a GBC/GBP and it has an AWESOME light up screen
    • Then I went on a vacation in the "lower 48."I'm in alaska where, in the summer, there is sufficient light to use my GBA anytime
    • Everything works and lights up
    • The light on this thing is the best available for the Game Boy Advance.
    • Although it's quite expensive, the back-light makes every penny worth it
    • How did I ever play these games without a lighted screen? The ritual with my standard GBA was, find a decent light source, and sit under it, back straight, craning my neck downward the whole time
    • The light is awesome!!
    • to the one con of more difficult L and R button access.
    • The controls are basic with the traditional GameBoy control config with the SNES-inspired L and R buttons on the corners of the console
    • Alright, so when I first bought this my Gameboy SP had no working L &
    • Alright...well I purchased this gameboy with the intent of taking it to my daycare and playing it with the other kids who have gameboys
    • t was perfect!
