I was a bit nervous that the screen would be too small judging by comments I've seen, but I thought it was a great size

The smaller size affords more portability than the XL in that regard, but I like the smaller form factor a lot more

For children (the target audience...) or people with smaller hands, it's the perfect size

Basically the same as the New 3DS XL, the selling points of this sought after model are its compact size and the swappable faceplates you can import from Japan or Europe.

This size feels good too, and is more comfortable to carry around

I preferred the small size, but the build quality of the original 3DS was really poor in comparison to the build quality of the XL, which was superior

Upgraded from the 3DS XL blue model to this one with the Kirby Faceplates, and have been enjoying the smaller size of it since I can place it in most pockets and use it in my EDC gear

The 3DS XL was just too big, this one is the perfect size

This is a noticeable improvement over the standard 3ds and in my opinion a much better size than the xl

In terms of size, this is the preferable size for me

Lovely design, and a great size, not significantly smaller than the XL version, but is more comfortable in the hands

The screens are smaller but much clearer and sharper than the XL and the size of the unit is perfect

I like the size in the new 3ds it should be more available for people that preffer the portability rather than the big screeen

These systems seem to be very durable, easy to hold, nice size screens, and all the features that my girls (ages 12 and 10) will need.
