Nobsound NS-08E Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier Mini Audio HiFi Stereo Headphone Amp

    • Both models have that neat tube warmth.
    • The little blue tubes are just flat charming to look at
    • upon receipt furnished tubes were awful...input mini noisy, tubes noisy, volume control noisy....do not waste your money on pure (((junk))
    • All I will add is that, with the right tubes, it's an amazing performer
    • You're getting a basic solid-state pre-amp with pretty blue tubes, just know that's all the tubes
    • Didn't follow the recommendations to replace with more expensive tubes
    • I will look into getting some better tubes for upgrade later on.
    • It also looks super cool, and everyone will comment on your glowing tubes
    • In the future I will try other music sources and I will also try rolling other tube pairs like older 6688s.
    • Even though the tubes are on the preamp stage, you can definitely hear the "smoothness".The tubes that were included are cheap Chinese tubes, and they definitely sound great.
    • Very interested to see what better tubes will do to the quality of the already good sound !
    • A rear set of RCA jacks and a front power button would de-clutter it, improve usability, and decrease the likelihood of brushing one's finger against a hot tube
    • Maybe better tubes would improve the quality?Purchased this to sit on my desk at the
    • I wish I'd torn the thing down and looked at it before I ordered more expensive/rare tubes (NOS Valvo E180F black plates made by Mullard) as I could have saved myself a lot of money, now I've just got a pair of tubes sitting here that I honestly don't even want to put into this amplifier because there's no point
    • On top of that, the tubes are inexpensive for anyone who just takes a little time to read reviews and take the chance of purchasing tubes from Europe and Asia as well as the North America.
    • Doesn't power on, tubes don't glow, or warm up
    • The LED lit dual tubes are sexy
    • It is slightly larger than the 01E, but permits changing the standard 6688 tubes with the wealth of alternatives available on eBay and other sources.
    • The tubes are neat to look at and the unit itself feels solid
    • Tube echoing and hissing.
    • Some lesser testers have "proven" that the tubes function as an amp by simply noting the power-up delay as the tubes heat up.
    • They are definitely smooth, but not as smooth sounding as some other tubes I've used.
    • The tubes that come with it are junk.
    • They are considered by many audiophiles to be among the finest sounding tubes ever made.
    • those little glowing tubes on an amp the size of a deck of cards lol
    • It's a cheap tube
    • A great way to add a bit of that warm tube sound to your setup for not a lot of money, with plenty of power to run most headphones
    • The only two reasons I didn't give this Five Stars is because 1) the stock Chinese tubes this comes with are pretty terrible and 2) I had to buy a 3.5mm headphone extender adapter b/
    • It's quite clean; while it does add a little bit of desirable "tube sound" (which is a type of distortion), which results in a warmer, fuller sound, perhaps with a small amount of extra bass, it still passes along detail quite well
    • This is not only bad because it is a "hybrid" tube amp, it is a very, very bad tube amp.
    • upon receipt furnished tubes were awful...input mini noisy, tubes noisy, volume control noisy....do not waste your money on pure (((junk))
    • I highly recommend this amp and can't wait to hear what better tubes will do to improve the soundstage
    • I have done listening tests with and without the Nobsound, and it's no contest, the Nobsound with good tubes wins every time regardless of source.
    • did not come with the correct tube.
    • Recommend better tubes, stock Chinese are not horrible but bought some NOS Amprex PQs and had instant improvement.
    • Nice affordable tube amp
    • This is a fairly common setup for amps and YES the tubes do work and are not just for show
    • Great little tube amplifier, makes a difference with the iPad listening thru my Philips X2/27 Fidelio cans
    • All you really need is an aux port on a receiver/amp and some good tubes and away you go!
    • the tubes that come with it are perfectly fine for me an my headphones.
    • The supplied tubes were garbage, but easily replaced with superior NOS tubes.
    • Note: the description says 6J4 tubes are compatible
    • The original tubes are good but if you get the original Valvo it's better
    • The tubes, with the blue LED under them, are just plain sexy
    • I did return it, however I would still recommend this if you want a solid, cheap tube amp.
    • It does function, and it gets loud, but even the slight vibrations from typing on my keyboard are enough to make the tubes shake and you can hear the tubes pick the vibration and deliver it as a nice ring in your cans.
    • I own a ridiculously expensive tube amp that I guard with my life
    • I hope I can get new tubes if they every die out.
    • Yeah, the tubes glow blue due to LEDs, but
    • I did return it, however I would still recommend this if you want a solid, cheap tube amp.
    • The stock tubes sound terrible, but any other tubes won't help because it is not working as an amp
    • Regardless, the tube stage does add a bit of that famous tube (aka valve in UK) distortion - which apparently translates to warmth, etc.
    • That's not a problem, and actually pretty efficient, considering you get the warm tube sound without the bulk of having even larger output tubes for a small headphone amplifier.
    • very noisy tubes.
    • At first this little amp seemed like a great find: definitely a good introduction to the "warm" tube sound
    • n’t go wrong on any of it
