Oculus Rift - Virtual Reality Headset

    • The HTC Vive is a slightly heavier/bulkier headset, but it seems to be the more durable and longer lasting option
    • I want very much to like the Rift platform, but the support technicians don't seem to have any interest in resolving the issue with my defective headset.
    • Overall this headset lacks the immersion factor
    • This headset is pretty cool
    • I love my Oculus headset and now that the touch controllers are out everything on Steam that was only for the
    • 2/1/17 headset died.
    • Tried using 2 nights ago, headset just won't work
    • A wireless headset would be really nice and a 3rd sensor is really necessary otherwise you better never turn around or the sensors can't see the hand controllers
    • If you just want to play racing sims and controller games in VR then this headset is worth he price
    • I know that both headsets are working on wireless systems, but until those are realities, this is a solid win for the Oculus Rift
    • Moved on to Steam VR, spent another week trying to find out why any bump will disconnect the headset, tried to get some answer from Oculus, they wanted log data as if this was some kind of 'Beta" test!!!
    • The future will surely offer superior headsets for less
    • Motion sickness is a real thing, and as a kid I used to get motion sickness in cars, but no longer, however this headset has made me motion sick a couple of times, mostly from games that move far too fast for me at the moment, Warthunder was the biggest issue, but i've seen it with Dreadhalls and Eve Valkyrie
    • I fought to acquire it on launch day, loaded up on titles, and...found myself sadly distraught over all the motion sickness, poor controller tracking, and a bulky headset that literally cut off circulation
    • Best headset on the market.
    • it was a no brainer the Oculus had a better quality, comfortable, nicer looking headset and less
    • Excellent headset for PC gamers/users
    • The headset is extremely well boxed and works extremely well with the bundled XBOX One controller and remote
    • the many cons:Headset is great for crushing or torqueing a $200 pair of glasses
    • An excellent headset with a good library of games
    • The headset gets pretty warm after extended use, 45 minutes of play and my face felt like it was melting and the screen in the headset was warm enough to feel on the outside of it when taking the headset off
    • I am hopeful and optimistic that Oculus's next headset will address these issues and provide a more compelling case for VR, but until then, I'll be enjoying my PSVR.Lastly, the biggest way Oculus pissed me off
    • It's a great headset and I love the included headphones that are attached on the sides
    • I tried her headset on both of our computers and it worked fine
    • The headset is adjusted/worn correctly and its clearly a limitation with the Rift
    • Returning because the cable going into the headset must be loose because when I pull the headset off, it disconnects from PC Also headset get way too hot to wear iMOPro
    • The headset itself however is quite comfortable and well made.
    • Although the Rift demos didn't blow me away by any means, the touch controllers were simply fantastic, the headset comfortable, light, and intuitive
    • This is an amazing headset
    • this headset is not worth it without the touch controllers
    • It's a great headset as well and currently offers the best "total VR" experience, but for me comfort plays a major factor and I feel the wait for Touch will easily be
    • Will the headsets of five years from now be better
    • If you can get past the lens problems, the headset itself is fairly comfortable
    • The final problem, and there are examples of this on youtube, is the flimsy case that can cause the headset to disconnect when touched even lightly because its not rigid enough to hold the circuit boards firmly in place.tl;dr High fault rate and other problems from poor quality build.
    • It also lacks the ability to change the distance of the lenses from your eyes, I ended up having to wear the headset very loose to make the lenses sit at a comfortable distance so the image was sharp; I have 20/20 vision for those of you who are curious
    • I love the headset and the games but this
    • My husband loves his oculus rift, the best virtual reality headset out there.
    • Nice headset, awesome touch controllers
    • The headset is extremely comfortable and not that
    • if you actually care).Comfort: The headset is very comfortable to wear and light
    • The headset itself is very nice, comes in a hefty box with the headset, the sensor and the xbox one controller, all neatly tucked away in this very nice box
    • The headsets are great but this major flaw puts a big damper in my confidence in the product.
    • This is a great headset
    • Keep those dry wipes handy to clean the visor face pads when trading off! It's really too early (as far as I am concerned) to say that one headset is categorically "better" than the other
    • The headset also seems really cheap in hand, feels like it's made out of epoxied canvas and thin plastic
    • Headset gets way too hot, I actually started sweating on my
    • The Oculus headset has been amazing so far
    • Between the Vive and the Rift, the Rift has clearer optics, more comfortable headset, and a tremendous amount of in store content for free
    • I exchanged my headset for another and the replacement works perfectly
    • This headset is pretty amazing.
    • The headset gets a little warm so a fan blowing toward your face really helps of you are using the headset for any length of time
    • unacceptable! The Oculus Rift is awesome, unfortunately it appears that there are a lot of defective headsets
    • it is a very great headset for gaming and all , but using this for too long time can affect your eyes and head then it may cause you headache.....
    • However, the Rift is the headset for the rest of us: those yet unwilling to dedicate a room of their house and their best gaming PC exclusively to VR
    • and I couldn't do anynting past there because you need the sensor to make the stupid headset work
    • Between the Vive and the Rift, the Rift has clearer optics, more comfortable headset, and a tremendous amount of in store content for free
    • The headset is the easiest to wear of PC headsets, and the integrated headphones are of surprisingly good quality
    • Build Quality: The headset is impressively solid
    • And, as much as I love it, it stopped working as of 5/25/17
    • The *only* cons I can think of:Wired connection to the PC is prone to tangle around you as you play, but if you have someone nearby to help untangle is not a big deal
    • Its a blast to play but the developers did not do enough r&d to make sure you have a flawless install
    • n’t want to scratch the lenses.
