The very first thing I noticed about my Rift and Sensor setup was that, well, it wouldn't set up because my Rift (the visor) couldn't detect the Sensor (the new, microphone-like motion detection device on a stand meant to be set up on your work desk in front of you).

Much bigger lenses, better build quality, more robust sensors.

With the three sensors for 'roomscale' support, you can enjoy roomscale experiences but it seems that despite my best sensor setups there was always a small blind-spot somewhere that my controllers would find at some point in gameplay

I hooked my replacement up and found out that, unfortunately, my Rift still could not detect my Sensor, I contacted customer service - no response for weeks, not a surprise at this point.

The sensors would continuously throw out different errors, and would give me trouble starting the PC with the rift and sensors connected (instant blue screen).Overall, I think I got a bad motherboard for Oculus compatibility

the sensor will not work and the Oculus app won't let you launch any games making the headset useless and this product is the only one recommended by Oculus.

It also has a tendency to loose the tracking sensor every 20ish seconds which means the image glitches

There are no tracking problems unless you are out of the cameras view, vive has the same issue with there beacons, if the sensors are obscured from view they will lose tracking, doesn't matter which headset you own.

I went a little overkill with mine, 2 diagonal sensors (one with the unit, one with the Touch) set up at diagonal corners, wall mounted with CCTV brackets from Amazon

They both track but you only get 2 sensors with the rift, and to make it track better, 3-4 sensors are highly recommended

Its a blast to play but the developers did not do enough r&d to make sure you have a flawless install
