There is one plug that plugs into the top outlet

The blue light ontop kinda makes it look slick, well, as slick as a outlet surge protector can look I suppose

Plug it into the top outlet and it covers the bottom one nicely

I need to keep the top part of the outlet free for the lamps because that one is controlled by the light switch

I find it says a bit since the top doesn't grab the outlet like the bottom.

Secondly, some larger adapters block the use of the other outlets on this item, which decreases the functionality of this surge protector (e.g., two of the available outlets are blocked with the use of two large adapters in the photo I uploaded here).

The outlet does protect your devices and has 6 usable outlets, but there so close together that you can only realistically use 4 at the same time if you have diverse outlet plugs

It also does not help that there's no outlet screw to secure the surge protector to the wall outlet, in order to avoid it being yanked off the wall if one trips on a cord or remove a plug with one hand.

The outlets are close together, so some larger plugs can't fit next to others, wasting a middle outlet

Firstly, it's so large it blocks the free outlet as it takes up one outlet on my wall.

The blue light is annoying if not covered when sleeping and I have trouble using all 6 outlets at the same time

I loved the outlets I could use, but one had prongs that arrived so bent and distorted that we couldn’t use that surge protector, so instead of receiving four, we have only three we can use.
