It may well be that this new Sony CD boom box is as good as you can buy out there these days, which only underscores the point how much the quality of these products have regressed over the years.

Also noticeable is how much lighter this Sony CD boom box weighs as compared to the previous one

I suspect that a lot of the positive reviews here are phony, as the last Sony boom box I purchased was an "Xplod" model whose CD player started having problems after 4 years, despite only occasional use.

Usually Sony makes a good product, but it bombed with this one!

All else is ok, but I am GUESSING that my Sony warranty is no good and the Asurion extended warranty I bought at time of purchase is also no good
