You can tell the difference with these pencils they have soft lead I think its for blending colors.

I only wished I had gotten their sharpener as mine is a more traditional one that leaves a long piece of lead out and since these are soft core pencils the lead is more fragile than a typical writing pencil.

They do cause a good deal of frustration when it's time to sharpen them and the leads keep breaking.

I felt it was arrogant to ask for 5 stars, then ignore me as if they felt entitled to it
