Prismacolor Col-Erase Erasable Colored Pencil, 1-Count, Light Blue (20068)

    • Perhaps I received a bad batch or the pack had been damaged somehow in transit which caused the lead to break but even still, I greatly enjoy these pencils
    • fortunately the lead is very hard and doesn't break easily.
    • VERY Hard lead
    • The lead is very hard and although it does the job
    • The lead is a bit hard, but they are non-photo
    • These have a very hard lead, which can be
    • Do not recommend - 20-25% of the pencils ordered had broken leads, which keep falling out each time they are sharpened.
    • I haven't tried sharpening with anything but a razor blade, but the lead seems strong enough not to break when sharpened
    • works as intended, red does break a little easy regardless the manufacturer and don't drop them will crack lead more.
    • The lead wasn't in there securely enough and the lead just falls out when you try to sharpen it
    • It's a very very hard lead
    • However I have not tried the revitalizing method where you heat up the pencil to refuse the lead back together and rebonds back to the wood
    • It wasn't until I started sharpening them that the lead kept falling out of the pencil itself
    • However, I was a little disappointed that one of the colors is missing the lead entirely
    • The are a soft enough lead that they do not tear even very thin pages.
    • I'll choose crayola over these anyday!!!!They have weak leads that also break easily.
    • Quick delivery with no problems, thanks! These are relatively hard-lead colored pencils that work well for sketching and under-drawings
    • These are good quality pencils, lead is super strong and does not break or crumble like other colored pencils.
    • These are good quality pencils, lead is super strong and does not break or crumble like other colored pencils.
    • 4 of the pencils had a shattered lead, so no matter how much I sharpened them, the lead would just fall out broken.
    • Consistent, bold color and durable "leads"; furthermore, they actually erase (especially when using a Staedtler Mars eraser)
    • The led inside most of them was broken
    • I suppose that having such a hard lead and being so light is what makes them easy to erase
    • The leads are a bit soft, so you go through pencils quickly if you want your lead to stay sharp
    • If you're one of those people that had the hard lead and the invisible lines, try working the pencil in a little before giving up on it
    • The lead is so hard and dry/waxy that the lines it makes are barely visible unless you press so hard that you tear the paper
    • One of the pencils kept breaking its point and had to be sharpened down to nearly half its original size before the lead stopped breaking.
    • These colored pencils use a softer lead, and doesn't break as easily as others
    • These are basically color coded pencils; the erasers that come attached to the barrels are fantastic and erases lines beautifully (unless you pressed down really hard when making the lines).Cons: -Like any wooden pencil, if you drop them on the floor, the lead inside may break into little segments, and it will be near-useless when trying to sharpen since the lead pieces will just fall
    • the lead is very hard and is of no use to anyone trying to lay anything out for illustration or comics.
    • My lead seemed too hard and the line was too light at first
    • The lead is hard and can lead to indentations in the paper, but the color is perfect for the initial rough sketch (along with being able to erase if needed to see your unfinished work) without ever showing up via a xerox or copy after the final cleanup of your work is done
    • Lead was broken so they are unuseable
    • I'd say these pencils wear away just as slowly as kids' colored pencils like Crayola, but with stronger colors and equally strong lead, if not stronger considering how easily I can get them to a fine point (that may be due to wood quality and perfect centering considering the strength of the colors)

    • As other reviewers have said, the lead is quite hard and leaves very light marks
    • These pencils are a hard lead that leaves a light, easily erased line.
    • The "leads" do not break easily and they sharpen well
    • The blue lead is so hard that they barely make a mark (pressing hard on one sheet of paper on a glass table top
    • set and the following is obvious: lead is breaking easier, lead is not centered to the wood part, wood was changed from the nice cedar before to something that is hard to sharpen in an electric sharpener and doesn't smell nice as before, the ferule holding the eraser was changed, so was the paint covering the wood
    • The lead is harder than regular colored pencils but softer than, say, an HB pencil
    • these colored pencils from prismacolor have great lead, perfect softness of lead, &great color...but they aren't very erasable
    • These pencils are best if you want deep colors because the lead is soft and easy to use
    • No matter how much I sharpen the pencil the lead keeps breaking
    • Quick delivery with no problems, thanks! These are relatively hard-lead colored pencils that work well for sketching and under-drawings
    • The lead in this pencil is way too hard
    • The lead wasn't in there securely enough and the lead just falls out when you try to sharpen it
    • The lead is nice and strong and doesn't break easily
    • They sharpen to very fine points and the lead has not cracked or broken at all so far for me
    • Buyers beware that these pencils have a hard lead
    • great colors/ erasable but wish the were a bit softer leads
    • I found the lead to be so hard that I could not get any decent shading from it
    • Unlike current prismacolors, the lead isn't so soft that it rubs off all over the page, wears away easily, and breaks constantly
    • The lead is steady and does not break easily, and I am finding myself using the hand erasers less often, which is one of the objectives of purchasing this product.
    • My only complain is that the leads in some of the colors are really weak and they are constantly breaking
    • Even using quality electric pencil sharpener, the tips constantly break and fall out because the lead is so loose within the pencil
    • fortunately the lead is very hard and doesn't break easily.
    • The lead falls out easily calling their quality into question
    • Other then that they are amazing pencils, but they have a tendency to do that thing where the lead is broken and falls out as you sharpen, I think that is probably due to shipping.
    • It is designed just for colored pencils and it won't chew up or break the lead like an electric sharpener will
    • They do have the issue most Prismacolor pencils have, where they require a decent sharpener since the led is semi-delicate
    • the lead is so hard it's virtually unusable
    • The lead in this Prismacolor pencil is much harder than the Caran d'Ache Sketcher Non-Photo Blue pencils
    • She likes the harder "lead" for sharpening to a very fine point (with my Carl Angel pencil sharpener
    • My only problem is that for a few of the when I sharpen them the lead tends to break or snap off before I've gotten them to a fine point
    • Most of the pencils have broken leads so when they are sharpened two or three goes are often needed to get past the next break in the lead
    • Lead is too hard and it doesn't erase
    • large leads with very high quality pigments, the leads are very strong, erasability could be better but these are superior to other pencils I have used.
    • Don't expect artist quality pencils, as the lead is a little too hard to get that soft silky feel of a nice quality pencil
    • I wish the lead was a bit softer, the lines are very
    • The only possible drawback that I can think of is that since the led is so soft I find myself needing to sharpen it on a very regular basis
    • I love the lead, when it doesn't break
    • The lead in these pencils are too hard
    • The harder lead is also a pro: these pencils glide smoothly and don't require sharpening as often as standard graphite pencils or Prismacolor Premiers
    • It comes with quite the variety of colors and I prefer to use them for sketching because the lead itself is pretty soft so it leaves lighter marks, but they're beautiful colors
    • The lead in these pencils is very waxy, so be careful if you don't like waxy lead.
    • Lead is too hard and it doesn't erase
    • colored pencils)But these are awesome soft lead with a smooth finish
    • The standard Prismacolor NP pencils (non-erasable) have extremely soft and fragile "lead," where as the Col-Erase stands up beautifully against breaks and pencil sharpeners
    • The color is great, the leads are strong, and the eraser is an added benefit
    • She likes the harder "lead" for sharpening to a very fine point (with my Carl Angel pencil sharpener
    • The very light color also helps to better rough draft your drawing before committing to the final cleanup of your work (other pencil brands are a bit darker with their non-photo blue which often leads to unwanted transfer over to copy or xerox) and their lead is often too soft which can lead to a darker line than what you would want
    • One of the colors has cracked lead so every time I sharpen
    • The only issue was the brown lead which broke a lot
    • The leads are nice and creamy soft.
    • The lead in most of the pencils were broken when received so they're being used up significantly faster than they should be.
    • The soft lead gives more of a pencil crayon than that of a pencil
    • Once more I feel very foolish for trying again, as well as being disappointed once more.
    • Pencils tend to shatter a
    • Doesn't erase as well as I was hoping.
    • but they don't erase as good as I expected them too
    • Don't erase as you would expect.
    • A little bit disappointed in the quality of the wood as it breaks when sharpened
