Solenoid went bad on one of my valves
-
They were well packaged and within mins the bad solenoids were replaced and things working again
-
If you have a very small leak that you cannot find, and there is no water running out in view, the solenoid could be the problem, but I would bet on the diaphragm first
-
if you think your solenoid is bad, use a multi-meter to test the resistance across it and compare that value to the resistance value of a known good solenoid.

This test indicated that the solenoid was bad.

I used this to replace a bad solenoid for my Rain Bird lawn sprinkler.

I needed these to replace a failed solenoid on my in-ground sprinkler system.
-
Solenoid works great and was delivered on time.
-
This saves you from having to dig out your whole valve just because a solenoid goes bad.
-
Solved sprinkler zone problem, had a bad solenoid to replace.
-
Of course, solenoids will go bad at some point
-
A good solenoid is usually somewhere around 20 or 30 ohms, a bad one will probably have much higher or much lower resistance than a good one
-
Works great, but first be sure the solenoid is the problem.
-
A solenoid in one of my DV valves died
-
The solenoid is very easy to replace, just shut off the water, disconnect the 2 wires and unscrew the old solenoid and then install the new one
-
Works great for replacing old, burned solenoids
-
We replaced the solenoid and it worked like a charm
