This works great and the only reason I am giving this a 4 star is I assumed this was a composite mount, It's actually a metal/aluminum> Very strong

Sturdy metal construction and spring-loaded design makes it a snap to quickly add or swap out gadgets without dropping having the arm fall of the 1" ball mount, I use it to mount a GoPro Hero5 Session on my VTX1800R/3 cruiser for filming long rides and this 6" extension puts the camera a good distance from the handlebar, effectively reducing the the inclusion of the handlebars and windscreen from the video.

Solid and reliable as always..

It seems that the next smallest size is 1/2 of this, I wouldhave liked something around 4" instead of this, but it works exactly as it is supposed to work, so I'm happy.

Either way, this arm works exactly as you would expect it to, and it is, of course, very well made
