Rosewill 2.5-Inch SSD/HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5-Inch Drive Bay RDRD-11004

    • Lenovo Ideacentre 700 PC hard drive bay, too small.
    • have one bracket that's over a year old and the fan still works quietly and even if it died then the worse case would be that your drive would be subject to warming up just like it would have in any other adapter without a fan
    • I bought this unit to properly mount a laptop hard drive (2.5" SATA) in an external hard drive enclosure
    • great idea; went with other reviewer recommendation and swapped fan with Vantec Stealth SF6025L - yes you do have to reverse mount the fan if mounting 2 drives (vs the way it comes in the package, but if you want added airflow in a tight space this is perfect) - some complain that it only cools one drive which i guess is true - but why not just flip the fan to pull the air across/away from the drives
    • Just make sure before ordering that your case does not require the hard drive to be screwed in using the bottom holes instead of the side.
    • If you do so, however, the solid state drive nearest the fan will block air flow to the second.
    • installed two laptop hard drives in my computer with this it holds them securely just like it is meant to do
    • Once I'm done recovering my data from the laptop hard drive, I will be permanently mounting a solid-state drive in a tower PC
    • Cables can be a little difficult to connect to hard drive once mounted as the 2.5" hard drive sits back from the end of the bracket a little ways
    • I actually installed this fan into the drive bay below my desktop hard drive, in order to "suck" the hot air away from the bottom of the drive instead of "blow" air (and dirt) into its circuitry
    • On the down side, you can not mount the bottom SSD/hard drive from the bottom holes.
    • Screws included, and came with enough screws to mount 2 SSD hard drives and more screws to mount it inside of a computer case
    • I recently started building PCs using SSD drives for the OS, and conventional hard drives for the data.
    • It's sized correctly for two solid state drives and a 3.5" bay, but that's about all they got right
    • Works as advertised and cools my 1tb ssd drive
    • I wanted something for extra cooling of the 1Tb Seagate Hard Drive I have installed in the front bay of my Gateway computer
    • My Gateway has a two slot bay in the front for hard drives, so I put this in the bottom bay blowing up toward the top bay with the hard drive
    • Didn't realize before purchasing that my computer only mounts hard drives vertically, from the bottom of drive, which this bracket does NOT support
    • It is good for most computers when mounting a 2.5" SSD drive to a 3.5" bay/slot, but if your case has removable drawers and the hard drive mounting screws are the underside four you'll be outta luck
    • Once I'm done recovering my data from the laptop hard drive, I will be permanently mounting a solid-state drive in a tower PC
    • As others have mentioned, it is a little tedious getting the small hard drive screws in with the bracket in the way - but nothing terrible
    • It's well built and easy to work with for installing the 2.5 inch hard drive,
    • This isn't some fancy mounting technique, either - ever hard drive has these screw holes on the bottom.
    • --Criteria for selection--One of our older PC's hdd was failing so we wanted to buy a decent ssd drive to replace it and along with it a ssd mounting bracket
    • The fan moves more than enough air to keep the drives cool.
    • I highly recommend this for anyone who needs a cheap solution for bottom mounting hard drive needs.
    • Not really a solution if you have two solid state drives and want to cool both of them.
    • If you're mounting hard drives, it means you'll have better heat dissipation.
    • Its great because i had a brand new laptop hard drive that i wasn't using for anything, now i can take advantage of it for use as a backup drive in my desktop without it just floating around in the case
    • There really isn't much one can say about a hard drive mount
    • Of course turning the hard drive with it to fit on the correct side.
    • It came with enough screws to mount 2 hard drives (or SSD's) and to mount it on the computer case
    • I used this mount with a Crucial 128 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive
    • The screws were a little tricky to place on to the SSD hard drive that I put on this, it didnt seem to align perfectly with the holes on the SSD drive, it took some work to get all the screws
    • The idea of having a small fan to help contain temperatures makes sense and helps protect your drive
    • Good for 2.5" hard drives to be installed in desktop computers
    • On the plus side, this bracket will hold two SSD or laptop hard drives
    • Build quality is OK for a cheap, plastic drive mount.
    • Locking Latch Support 6 Gbps, 3 Gbps, and 1.5 Gbps transfer rate Model RCA-RU-10-SA3-90-RD to upgrade the cables on my hard drives to SATA III and install a new SSD drive on my computer
    • Came with everything that was required to install a solid state drive.
    • Fan will extend hard drive life
    • Plus it only really accommodates a slim drive like a SSD, anything thicker like a 2.5" 15K enterprise drive won't fit in the bottom set of holes due to the tray looking tabs for the top drive.
    • Great I like it.
