Rosewill 2.5-Inch SSD/HDD Mounting Kit for 3.5-Inch Drive Bay RDRD-11004

    • The fan could be useful elsewhere
    • Quiet fan.
    • I feel like this doesn't do much, but I like having more than enough fans, so I include it
    • The fans are exhaust, as in they pull air away from the HDD instead of blowing air on them, so just be sure to mount them appropriately for your setup so the hot exhaust is actually pulled out of the box.
    • The fan really is an overkill since the SSD does not get hot, however I'm using it anyway.
    • The fans is cheap, but works well
    • easy to install, has fan to help out cooling, good price
    • I dig the little fan, dispersing what little head the SSD gives off into my exhaust fans/circulation.
    • I did just that, because the product was shipped to me with the fan blowing air onto the SSD, when I wanted it the other way around.
    • both my SSD's really well and the fans keep them nice and cool will definitely be buying more of these in the future!
    • Well made sturdy metal and even though the fan may be overkill it id nice to have.
    • Cons:Fan is only direct power, no controller support (oh well, very
    • The fans is cheap, but works well
    • I imagine the fan is reducing the temperature of the drive, but haven't bothered to quantify that.
    • Quiet fan keep cooling my SSD.
    • The fan, though not needed by me, would be invaluable for someone using it to install an SSD or 2.5inch drive.
    • Having the cooling fan really makes a difference
    • The fan itself is very quiet
    • The fan is kinda loud, and the molex connector has loose pins.
    • Also, it seems like a pretty quiet fan.
    • Reversed the fan to blow onto the drive
    • one of my 3.5" drives was getting rather hot at 50degrees C. i already have fans all over the place to cool down the case but this one drive wasnt getting much airflow
    • Very quiet fan
    • Fan is loud and flimsy
    • The fan is quiet and easy to mount but the pins in the wiring harness are not that tight and pushed themselves out.
    • maybe it would have lasted longer - for the money I paid quite happy with how long it lasted and will probably buy another one :)EDIT AND UPDATE - four years later this fan is still working, quite happy with it :)Not much to say it's a fan... other than it works when plugged into the power supply in the PC
    • Yes fan is probably better than no fan.
    • Removed cooling fan, got a free fan now with purchase.
    • Fairly quiet fan, but I had to disconnect it
    • I followed the advice of other reviewers on newegg who unscrewed the fan then re-screwed it back on "upside down" such that the fan sucks hot air away from the ssd drive instead of blowing potentially hot air onto it , took some force to unscrew the screws holding the fan in but to me that just means it was designed well (the alternative would be loosely attached screws that would cause the fan to fall out
    • Did work as how I needed them to work
