I love the play bar and its sound, but there are a few things I have to say as a warning to anyone else buying this product

Sounds great, but you can get a great sounding sound bar from a couple manufacturers.

It didn't hurt that Consumer Reports had this as its top rated sound bar.

But, it's one of the best sounding bars out there, alone, and simply superb with the Sub

With the SONOS controller and its ability to use all of the top music services including Slacker, its the best sound bar out there and has the most features

But again, as a pure sound bar, it's expensive and doesn't offer the low bass extension of many more affordable sound bar/subwoofer combos

Excellent sound bar from SONOS, it offers a great sound quality produced by the products 9 amplified speakers.

While some think there are better sound bars out there, there's little to dislike about being able to add your TV to your Sonos system (which is, I think, the right approach to this thing)

However, I work in retail, and after hearing enough sound bars and seeing the one you want everyday you eventually commit

A sub is completely unnecessary to enjoy the bar

* If this is your first Sonos product you have to get the BRIDGE to pair the sound bar to your TV (even after the optical cable is installed) as well as setup the sound bar.

Once the music has stopped with Alexa, the bar is ready to be turned back up for TV audio (as of the beta, the TV audio is lowered all the way down once it stops playing Alexa music).Sonos is at the forefront of cloud based technology.

This Bar is the BEST

The sound bar is expensive but what I will remember is the ease of set up and the great sound.

I like that the bar is clean, sleek, and not obtrusive

But as it is, my blu-rays are encoded in DTS and as such I can't watch them using the play bar, the only option is to use tv speakers while staring at a silent 700 dollar play bar.

Although I originally liked the sound bar and Sonos system, it no longer works well as a sound bar for a home entertainment system.

Best sound bar I've heard and REALLY easy to setup.

You can add on to the Sonos system if you feel like you need more sound, but in an 11 x 13 room the sound bar alone is enough to blow you out of the room.

For TV/movies this is a great sound bar, definitely on par with the Bose systems you have probably heard in the store.

I have 4 Sonos devices in my house already so the next addition was the bar to enhance the television sound.

Sound dimension and brightness is far superior to a less expensive Samsung Sound Bar.

I would never buy a Sonos product again until their wifi technology is better tested and works as it should.

No "well you just have to..." or "sometimes it does xyz, but overall i'm happy" no sinking feeling that the next great thing you built up in your head isn't quite as great as you built it up to be

Hopefully Sonos eventually realizes that they need other connection options, but regardless, for now works extremely well for me as I have it set up

Sonos is legendary for a good reason - because they really produce these components for the discerning consumer as well as for the neophyte looking for new sonic frontiers

It's great to be able to send my 40 or so digital music channels from my cable provider throughout the house as well as to finally have my DVD player connected

Sonos still doesn't seem to be quickly developing software updates for it's current line of offerings which leaves me worried as to the longevity of the current speaker technology.

this didn't bug me as much as it should because my TV is mounted on the wall and there is no space for a blu-ray player anyway

Setup was a bit of a challenge at first - I did not start out with a Sonos bridge - which I highly recommend as it creates a separate wifi network for your Sonos system
