I've used the 2H leads that come with this package, as well as 2B leads and non-photo blue leads

when the top is depressed the lead is free to advance any distance, thus it requires two hands to adjust the length of the refill outside the pencil

I loved the ability to keep a sharp lead all the time, but .7mm breaks too easily on wood, so I went with this 2mm

This new holder keeps the lead well in place

this guy does the trick, I use a softer lead then the stuff that comes with her and still never breaks and is very dark, sharpener built in as well feels good in the hand clips well in my shirt pocket as well

Good pencil, nice weight and the included leads and eraser are a nice plus

I usually use a regular mechanical pencil like you'd get at office supply stores; they're often flimsy, they break, and the lead is so skinny it can snap unexpectedly

Once nice thing about this pencil when you press the button the lead is free to slide (so you can have as much lead as you need)

As it turns out, the Staedtler leads I use with this lead holder are also quite good, and this is one of the less costly lead holders

I only gave 3 stars because the lead that it comes with is very dull

Not thrilled with lead hardness that comes in the kit (but softer leads are an easy fix and a personal preference) and they used to have nifty lil eraser/sharpeners that were tiny and great on the go ...wish they were still

I absolutely hate writing with normal pencils, and I break the lead on mechanical pencils because I write kind of hard.

I would have preferred that the pencil worked more like a traditional mechanical pencil with one click of the top advancing the lead a set amount

Also, the tip has a convenient led sharpener my other similar holders don’t have.

Great quality, the lead is very hard.

Love the led it’s dark and doesn’t break easy
