SteelSeries Arctis 5 RGB Illuminated Gaming Wired Headset with DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround for PC, PlayStation 4, VR, Android and iOS - Black

    • I was tired of having my ears hurt and throb from on ear headphones
    • I've used in-ear headphones all my life because I tend to get headaches from over-ear headsets very easily, but I very rarely if ever get sore ears from wearing these
    • My ears would actually begin to hurt during 3-4 hour gaming session with those
    • its so good my ears started bleeding from all the screaming kids i could finally hear clearly now in rainbow and fortnite
    • The speaker wire connection inside the right ear-cup is weak and may become detached after 1 day of light usage, requiring you to unscrew the ear-cup and re-solder the wire back on
    • and then you would lose audio in the right ear
    • The only minor complaint I have is that the volume adjustment wheel on the back of the right ear is a little too easy to adjust, but it's nothing serious.
    • If the cord is slightly bumped, aka you turn your head wearing the headset, the right ear fuzzes out and you need to wiggle the cord where it attaches to the headset.
    • plus there was a buzzing in the right ear piece
    • its so good my ears started bleeding from all the screaming kids i could finally hear clearly now in rainbow and fortnite
    • My cats seem to enjoy the disco ear lights so 5/5 on style too, for cats at least.
    • Wearing them for an hour or more hurt my ears
    • right ear not working since the week i bought it XD
    • The speaker actually touches my ears and it hurts to wear after a couple hours
    • This coupled with how soft the ear cups are makes them very comfortable to wear for long periods of time
    • It's comfortable and it fits me very well (big head, normal ears)
    • With a comfortable fit that easily fits my head, comfortable ear pads, crisp sound, and sound my friends love it's a great buy.
    • Highly uncomfortable for anybody with man sized ears lol
    • Read much comments about its shallow ear pads which might ache ur ears, but after got mine and use it, it is completely fine
    • will cut out for either the left or right ear
    • but it hurts my left ear so bad!!
    • So the Arctis is definitely more comfortable, but I'd prefer something in between: Feels secure and doesn't hurt my ears.
    • Other than that the head set has had other Audio imbalance problems such as the right ear being louder then the left
    • The first issue is the hideous way in which the sound of touching the cable is transmitted to the left ear speaker
    • Dirty ear cups
    • It covers my ears well w/ no type of irritation
    • My previous steelseries set, while comfortable, was unwearable after about 20 mins because of my crazy ear heat
    • I love this headset, it's a so comfortable and even with my glasses
    • That said, it should be noted that if you have a larger or wider head, these might not fit as well as you are used to in comparison to other headsets
    • Both of my previous headsets had absolutely stellar simulated surround sound with the Dolby codec and above average mic quality, as well as both being within the same price range as the Arctis 5 at the time I bought them (around $80-90), which became what I have been used to when purchasing headsets
    • I have always been a bit skeptical as to their sound quality
    • Also it seems like these aren't able to be turned up as loud as I would like for some games where hearing footsteps is important
    • And a bonus - this headset plugged directly into a cellphone, so my significant other could listen to his fantasy football Podcast using this headset as loud as he wanted, and I didn't have to hear a thing
    • I've ever worn in a headset, comfy as
    • I use it on a daily basis for my job as well as for gaming, and everyone comments on how loud and clear they can hear me
