Records up to 24bit/96kHz audio, is lightweight and a great feature is that you can record a backup track at a lower input setting in case your original audio clips
-
A few notable advantages:-Dual recording: This is by far one of it's best features
-
Nicest feature is the ability to record stereo at two different levels to assure a track with no distortion
-
It's loaded with great features
-
It really possesses impressive features for a little recorder
-
Good quality sound and good features.
-
I spent many months researching the various options, and for play-by-play sports recording, the DR-40 offers an exceptional feature set at the price.
-
Another great feature is the ability to simultaneously record 4 audio tracks - built in mic left and right, and then the 2 inputs
-
The XLR inputs with phantom power available area great feature for a portable recorder, for sure
-
I liked the features this recorder
-
I love the safety track feature just in case you set the levels a bit high
-
Of course, this would also be a valuable feature for other recording situations where the unit is up on stage (and thus would not be accessible during the performance).
-
This has superior recording capability and features for between $150 and $200 (depending on rebates, deals, etc).
-
it just does the job .. features and reliability have improved over the years too.
-
Read the information on the product, it will explain all the features well
-
The duel audio recording is a great feature as it allow you to use its multitrack recordings capabilities to record at different levels so it can save audio that peaks out
-
Great features and device quality but must use digital menu instead of analog buttons and wheels like in previous models.
-
The feature set on this recorder is decent
-
In general, the features are immense and theres a lot you can do with this little thing.
-
The locking combo XLR/quarter inch inputs are another nice feature
-
Adjusting the mics from X/Y to A/B automatically brings up a message asking whether to reverse the mics for L-R input which is a neat feature
-
Absolutely great recorder with awesome features.
-
All the audio quality and a fancy features in the world are irrelevant if I end up with nothing but silence!
-
Good features for sportscasters
-
It works great, and I love the SD card feature.
-
It is EXTREMELY flexible and has a nice peak-limiting feature that sets the input levels really nicely
-
Pros:-Good/plentiful features-PreAmps are
-
I love the features and sound quality and simplicity of use
-
The best feature so far is the dual record feature, we'll place the tascam close to the Dj's speaker at a wedding or event (during the toast for example) and set it to record 2 different levels of audio, a Hi and a Lo and in post we'll pick the track that sounds best for that scene.
-
easy to use, great features, XLR inputs and 1/4 inch to!!
-
So there was a bit of distortion with my first run, but still FAR better overall audio than using audio straight from a camcorder, even with a camcorder hooked to a RODE audio shotgun mic ($160 mic). One truly awesome feature of the recorder (which made my audio usable despite the high input levels) was the 'Dual Recording' mode
-
Probably will not use it much that way, but it is a great added feature from a musician's point of view.
-
Looked at and considered other but the value this offers -- extraordinary features at this price point & reliability of the brand sealed the deal for me.
-
In short, the DR-07mkII is a fine recorder, but for just a little more money you can get this unit with the very useful dual level recording feature that will make your life much easier.
-
It is the actual audio quality, the most important feature, that is really poor
-
Lots and lots of great features to produce high quality audio in the field
-
Get the audio right first, then add cute little features
-
because: Much cheaper, bettery battery life, same level of audio quality, + some cool features not seen on the zoom
-
it records very well and clear, all the features are easy to use and work well.
-
There are many other excellent features that you can read about in the product description.
-
Only one simple feature missing... a 3.5mm input for stereo
-
I also do not like when the advertisements or bandwagon people involved in the hype talk emphasize all of the convenient features that it has like a tuner or prerecording
-
mikes worked well, many well designed features and real XLR inputs with Phantom power
-
Some other cool features is the support for a wired or wireless remote control (same remote, just tether/untether).Very easy to use, I figured out most of the functionality by just playing with it for a few minutes in the car, and flipping through the manuel for a few terms i couldnt guesstimate (like how dual mode worked).Battery life is good in dual mode (havent tried others yet), takes 3xAA batteries, new batteries lasted >4 hours of recording, and still had plenty of life left
-
I like the ability to switch from A-B to X-Y mic placement and the multiple choices of bit rate and file format (MP3/WAV).The dual XLR/Line inputs are a great feature, especially for recording demos on the go
-
I love the dubbing feature too, have laid down double tracks
-
because: Much cheaper, bettery battery life, same level of audio quality, + some cool features not seen on the zoom
-
I use the recorder to record with the internal mics as well as to connect to other XLR microphones.
-
Works exactly as I expected it to.
-
Works great for field recording as well as for recording the sermons I preach for uploading online
-
If you're doing recording on those neat U-shaped rigs, this mounts nicely on top to capture that sweet audio.
