TASCAM DR-40 4-Track Portable Digital Recorder

    • This unit was an excellent price, and produces exactly the results I expected, without a lot of hassle.
    • Only AMAZON has the very BEST Price on the PlanetI have compared other recording devices
    • You can't get a cheaper price for such a quality recorder
    • (so there may be better ones, but this price and product is very good)
    • I love the convenience this recorder has brought me....and I must admit playing guitar to those old songs from my college rock band gave me the biggest smile on my face....so for me, the Tascam DR-40 was an excellent buy, great price, it's easy to use and the manuel is well written
    • THIS ONE IS A BIG +++AMAZON HAD THE BEST PRICE AND THE
    • Price is very important for me.
    • Lets just say you do need to probably read the manual,to learn how to use it,but i can grab almost any electronic device and learn it in like 30 min, this one has alot of menues and can get tricky, over all very good build light weight hard plastic the back where the battery is is not loose as i read on another review, excellent device and good price i reccomend this to all indie film makes on a budget.
    • To me the price is very reasonable and the build quality is reasonable for the price
    • Good price in comparison to other makes of same quality.
    • I really wanted to like the Tascam as the price was right
    • Great price
    • 4 tracks, broadcast digital audio, great price--I love it!
    • The price and value for money are great (probably unbeatable). However, the fact you that it doesn't accept the small jacks and stereo jacks is really frustrating
    • Honestly the price for this recorder would be a fair price for these two mics, IMO
    • I wish someone would honor the previous price..
    • Initially, I was attracted to this recorder because of the reasonable price and the stated features.
    • Great price for a great product!
    • Zoom prices stay relatively consistent but Tascam jumps all over the place
    • From my test I would say comparable to budget condenser microphones in the $100-$200 price range (suitable for film projects)
    • This is an ideal field recorder at a very reasonable price
    • I was happy with it, but when I saw the chance to upgrade to the DR-40 at a great price here on Amazon, I jumped on it
    • Sound quality is excellent, and with a couple good mics you get professional sounding audio at a reasonable price
    • pretty good for portable, and good price.
    • Great price
    • I'm also getting some clipping on hard P sounds, even though I am not that close to the mics and the level monitor doesn't indicate clipping
    • I want to like it, from reviews I
    • I realized I would need an external audio recorder that had XLR inputs and phantom power for hooking up my Behringer C-2 microphones (small and easy to work with in the field)
