I ABSOLULTY LOVE MY MOCCAMASTER

This is actually the best Moccamaster I have owned.

We have had our original Moccamaster for several years and love it

If the Moccamaster were't so much better, or not available, I think either of these machines would be a good option, but note that they're still expensive, so the choice was easy

We've had one for a could of months now and just love the Moccamaster

There are a few other comparable models, but the simplicity and tastefulness of the design coupled with the banging coffee this thing lovingly expels will make the Moccamaster both your best friend and a nice conversation piece.

[LONG-TERM UPDATE to original review below -- as of June 2017 -- 5 1/2 years after purchase, our Moccamaster is still going strong; only maintenance has been cleaning with soap and water and Cleancaf rinse every few months Urnex Cleancaf Coffee Maker & Espresso Machine Cleaner Powder, 3 Packets

This not only prevents the heater from boiling dry, but eliminates all the huffing, spitting, and puffing a cheap-o coffee maker dramatically goes through

Temp for water is spot on as advertised and the coffee ends up being just as good as if I had made the cup on a pour over or french press.

I'm not sure if it was broken as I was taking it out or it was broken before or broken while taking out the dripper.
