I haven't pushed the range, but with no external antenna nor enough body on the device to have one, you can hardly expect the best range compared to larger devices

But 1 thing to keep in mind while buying is that this is a nano sized usb meaning that is does not have a great range, it went up to 80 mbps when it was next to the wifi router but dropped almost to 2mbps

Installed a few days ago on my desktop and it's been as fast as when it was hooked up to my Motorola Surfboard modem/WiFi router when I had high speed cable internet @ up to 300Mbps.
