Pricey, but does what it says, and I had no problem auto mounting and un-mounting, so no problems there, no messages going into and out of sleep mode (with OSX El Capitan).

Just make sure to install the JetDrive Toolbox to prevent the improper removal message every time the computer goes to sleep.

About 10 minutes into the moving process, I get a "Was ejected improperly" message from OS X, and the drive disappears (I didn't accidentally brush the side of the computer or anything like that)

I'm familiar with the max transfer rates for USB 2.0 (about 30-40MBs) but unfortunately my write speed is hovering around a MUCH slower 8MB/s.

Unfortunately it does have limitations as to what can be stored on it

I don't have to worry about connecting to my external drive as I've got this little item ready and waiting, as well as to hold extra media such as music or videos.

It's OK, speed is not so fantastic as for internal SSD but good enough for not so critical
