Setup was a little difficult

Setup is fairly easy with the built-in wizards but it does take an hour or so to make sure everything is good

Not for people who want an easy setup.

Love this router!Knocking one star off due to absolutely *ridiculous* initial setup process, where you have to:- plug a computer directly into eth0, with static 192.168.0

Learning is taking a bit of time (as I am a newbie) but setup is now so much faster than before.

Considering that the cost between the Netgear X4S that was highly rated and this router along with an AP are pretty much identical, I would definitely recommend this setup above any consumer grade solution out there

Luckily, the configuration wizards make standard setup very simple to accomplish

Once I installed the firmware upgrade though it launched a setup wizard which simplified the process

Just be aware it does require proper setup to function.

In any case there are setup videos available on utube, plus the router firmware does come with built in "wizards" to make initial setup much easier

This unit requires you to have some tech knowledge of routers in order to get it setup and working properly.

If updated first, setup is easy enough for most people to accomplish
