    • Drains batteries quickly and not user friendly.
    • I bought expensive rechargeable batteries and they go dead within 24 hours.
    • I saw some reviews that described this scanner as not being able to get good reception on distant transmissions or good battery life
    • If batteries go dead you can put any AA batteries in and its ready to listen to.
    • Rechargeable batteries only down fall is ut don't work on ac when charging.
    • However it does drain the batteries fairly quickly, so buying some rechargeable batteries is a good idea.
