    USB 3.0 SATA Hard Drive Duplicator & Eraser Dock - Standalone 2.5/3.5in HDD & SSD Eraser and Cloner - Duplicator & Sanitizer

    • I was thinking of taking off 1 star because the instructions are lacking and in my opinion inaccurate but decided not to do that because the device works very well
    • what a wonderful device this is....worked like a charm...no errors...just follow the instructions...and it was superb...definitely a great buy
    • The following is where the StarTech instructions for the SATDOCK2REU3 get it wrong, and can lead to the conclusion that the unit is defective, when in fact, there is nothing wrong with it:1) Hardware installation, step 2, says to connect the USB 3.0 cable (why?)2
    • This is a letter to StarTech support.. which is very fast, and helpful:The main issue with the docking station (which works fine, by the way) .. is the instructions.
    • This duplicator works good however the inclosed instructions are a little vague.
    • I purchased in December of 2014 and the instructions were easy enough to understand and the labels on the device were clear
    • instructions are confusing but nothing that youtube can't fix
    • The data destruction works as advertised (fills drives with 00), though the LED indicators take a bit of getting used to (keeping the instructions handy for a bit helps)

    • Excellent product but taking away one star for bad instructions.
    • The print out is of a tech support email that they apparently had with a customer who tried to duplicate disks when the USB cable was plugged in (something the greater instructions tell you not to do
    • You have to have USB3 slot for this unit,It may be backwards compatible (I DON"T KNOW), Do your own research, or buy an older model
    • this time quickly got 4 RED LED’s .. and everything works great..

    • Kind of an 'uh duh,' but your own hard disk(s) need to be provided to make these claims true.
