Speed is good for USB 3.0 no complaints

to take advantage of the fast USB 3.1 Gen2 10 Gbps channel
-
My test PC had fully compliant USB 3.1 Gen2 ports that do operate up to the full 10 Gbps data rate (confirmed and verified). The results: the actual throughput of the Startech SDOCK2U313R hub was a rather disappointing 572 MBps maximum data rate, well shy of the theoretical maximum USB 3.1 Gen2 10 Gbps data rate.

Stupid-easy drive duplication - just make sure the destination drive is the same size or larger than the destination drive.1) Serves as a fantastic USB dock for bare drives - transfer speeds from SSD to SSD are near-motherboard speeds.2

Used on USB 2.0 it is slow however, I believe more modern USB 3.0 based systems will work much faster with this.

USB 3.0 rating is solid on speed, drive cloning is.. variable depending on amount of data (assuming bit copying).

I would get the eSATA/USB 3.0 version next time but USB 3.0 is still very fast for uses that require a computer.

USB works on USB3 port only

this time quickly got 4 RED LED’s .. and everything works great..
-
Like the re-cycling of “power’ .. to shift modes from dock to clone… and the wait time to mount a drive.. and what to expect from the LED’s at each step
-
Was a little concerned that the 4 RED LED’s never came on while the clone button was pressed
-
NO red LED’s appeared … got tired.. released the button.. and the amber (running back and forth) started …
-
Kind of an 'uh duh,' but your own hard disk(s) need to be provided to make these claims true.

I tried a cloning without the USB cable connected .. there were no examples of what to expect from the LED’s prior to
