With all of that taken into account the My Book 6TB External Hard Drive is a fantastic product with limitless capabilities

Purchased for my office since 3TB and up is still cheaper to buy wall-powered units

Speeds are 3-4 times faster than the older 1 TB

This 4TB hard drive was an inexpensive and long term solution to this problem

It is basically a external Western digital 2TB running at 7200 ROMs,lot faster speeds with USB 3 but backwards compatible to USB 2.it makes a perfect cloud for your backups and evething you don't want to lose

I hope it lasts longer than the previous WD 3TB external hard drive which died after 2 1/2 years.

It failed after about year and a half, and i lost over 4 TB of data

I've had 2 My Books - a 1TB and 4TB - and they've both died on me

I have two desktops and a laptop and over the years have purchased seven (150GB, 150GB, 250GB, 250GB, 300GB, 500GB, & 1TB) external hard drives

The 4TB of storage is awesome and it is so easy to setup

Now I've seemed to have lost 3 TB of data, and running short on space again....

Bough it in January 2016 and it just stopped working, maybe for some people 1 year and 10 months are ok for an electronic device ... but for a 2TB hard drive with cooling fan it is not

I have an older 2TB external from WD, a 2TB my passport (small portable HD), and an old Seagate external HD, and by far this is the slowest piece of junk compared to my other HD's

For under $150, the piece of mind I get for having 4TB worth of incremental backups is huge.

Bought this 4TB for same Xbox One...works great.

Although the size is actually 5.45TB (505GB missing) instead of 6.0TB

In total, almost 11 TB of information lost

This is my second one as the DVR can have two 2TB Hard Drives and these drives meet the specs for DISH DVR

Love the 6TB for lots of room to grow

My first one was the 1TB version, worked

I purchased the WD 6TB External Hard Drive in order to consolidate all of my thousands of image files spread across multiple smaller external hard drives, specifically so that I could import them into Lightroom and manage all photos in one place

I bought a 2 TB hard drive and filled it in 90 days

It took about 8-9 games to fill up 500 GB, I have 17 games and it only took up 20% of the 3 TB hard drive

I got the 2TB External Hard Drive for my Nintendo Wii U since 2TB is the maximum storage amount the console can support per drive (you can add two separate 2TB hard drives for 4TB in total)

It's like after scanning 2TB it stops seeing any folders

I've not done any benchmark testing, but perception is that this drive is about twice as fast as a Passbook 2TB drive

And I love having the 4 TB.

I struggled over the risk of buying a big fat 6 TB hard drive back in 2015, because I had heard the larger drives of all manufacturers were more prone to failure for some reason, so I went with WD because of a positive experience with a 2 TB drive, and I'm happy to say that my 1st 6TB has been a dream
