was the fact that both top and bottom screws were tightened on both sides
They didn't have to include free screws at all, so this isn't a big deal, but I did have to replace them all so they'd match
The slots are just wide enough for a 4-40 screw, useful for mounting equipment or running 1/2" Velcro strap through
Included screws and nuts made the job easy as I didn't have to bother finding alternative source
It ships with convenient screws and washers, with some adapters.

The venting is nice, but isn't extensive enough to notably reduce the strength of the unit.
The shelf is well-made, seems strong, and has a nice vent pattern—no reason to pay more for a 1U rack shelf.
