It DOES NOT back up during a power failure ( yes, I am plugged into the correct side of the unit) and after 30 minutes of trying to find out how to access a warranty replacement no progress has been made!DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK!

There is no software link available like it says in the

The UPS came with satisfactory power management software that was not available to download at the time of purchase

And there is no way to disable that "feature," other than uninstalling the software or disabling the Windows services

Just found a critical software bug with 'PowerPanel Personal Edition' which causes the 800VA 450W units to crash soon after the USB connected computer boots up.

The software that you can get to manage this UPS to control a shutdown of a computer only works for Macs and PC/Linux intel x86 architectures.

Outside of that, through the recent power bumping and such with weather, the UPS worked great.

This is a great UPS - you cannot beat the power per dollar here.

After connecting the battery leads, the UPS now works on battery power.

Unfortunately the support window is so short that I’m stuck with a flaky product that I no longer trust to connect to my devices or my home wiring

And the cycle repeats, the unit runs for about 16 hours and kills the power again.

Tested more, and it seemed to be OK.Had a brief outage last night, about 3 seconds, both units shut off and their alarms (solid loud beep) went off until pressing power button to recycle
