Update: I have to say upon contacting Anker, their customer service was excellent and worked with me to try to rectify the problem, including offering to send a replacement for the device
Customer service was kind enough to replace the cable that didn't function properly.

Since the USB-C PD port is bidirectional it will rapidly charge your device as well if it is USB-C capable.
Plenty of charge to support multiple devices (depending on need)
This is a great portable device for keeping your other devices charged at an even faster rate than can be charged thru your standard 12V adapter stock on most autos
Dont be fooled by 20w or over chargers, your iphone is also limited at what you can use and this device here is perfect for its max capability
I appreciate the ability to keep the power on, for use with "dumb" devices like USB lights and fans.

This device charges my phone quickly, and I have been able to charge my phone repeatedly without fully draining the battery
The Nintendo Switch drains quite a bit more battery but lasted me a few hours with charge to spare
It won't charge my phone rapidly, but it will charge at a decent speed and also trickle charge if I am using my phone and don't want to deplete the battery
Some batteries drain even while you are not using them but this pack is very minimal it is almost undetectable
I can charge my iPhone XS Max from 0-100% almost 3 times off of this portable battery
