Phone works very well, connected it in South America on a recent trip with Claro and it integrated seamlessly.

I tried through Amazon, as well, thinking they would make an exception since the phone was received in bad condition (dropped calls constantly, had a rolling screen, would hop from one built-in app to another, etc.--and the screen looked like it had an oil slick, which at first I thought was meant to be 'artistic', but the tech at the Genius Bar, once I did take it in, assured me this was a fault with the phone)

I missed my American iphone 4S so bought this one that is sold as "unlocked" to use with a Telkomsel sim card.

The iPhone 4 doesn't have the RAM to upgrade, so it's basically useless and this is why I wanted the 4S

My two gripes are poor battery life (barely half a day if you browse a bit), and the fact that it requires a micro SIM, meaning you have to snip away at your regular sized SIM if you must use it

One phone arrived with a dead battery and the second barely had a charge
