it's a great gift for someone that does not want a phone, app a great listening device, better than spending $1800 for hearing aids, calculaot and no matter what wou want to do there is and app for it

I hate Apple products with a passion, BUT my daughter loves this thing as much as life itself
I have absolutely no negative thing to say
This thing has a goodly number of apps - most of which I disabled due to their superflousness to my desires - and had both the podcast and Audible apps installed and ready for me to log in to.
The only real thing i don't like is, since it was sold as factory refurbished, I expected a good battery to have been installed
And you have to use the free battery app from the iTunes store to see the battery % because it will not show up in the top banner as there is no setting to turn this on.
The battery drains when it is not in use--even in airplane mode
When the specifications says the the new battery was design to work until 40 hours , with out problem
Some people think the faster chip is adding to poor battery life
