Reviews around mid (5.00 of 5)

  • Its not going to give you AKG 702 clarity and no bass, and it does not punch out the mids or overly extend the treble as does the KEF M500s
  • I must say, in nutshell, it would be its BIG bass when needed, e.g. in genres like electronic/drum and bass; excellent, neutral mids, where vocals reside; highly extended high frequency response that gives the DT 150's sound a gloss of clarity, but remains non-abusive by eschewing any undue harshness; a very big, and particularly airy soundstage, one so well done that its quality cannot be reconciled with the fact that these are CLOSED headphones; great isolation from outside noise; very tough build quality, which, of course, is by and large idiosyncratically Beyerdynamic; and lastly, excellent comfort
  • Here we move to the excellent mids performance of the DT 150's

Reviews around soundstage (5.00 of 5)

  • Finally I found the perfect match for my hrt microstreamer!Warm and balanced sound plus pretty nice soundstage
  • Along with stunning clarity(mp3 bitrate dependent), it was a true display of the DT 150's superb soundstage(At least according to my headphone experience), one so good that I got off my posterior and said, "hey, I GOT to write a review of this

Reviews around set (5.00 of 5)

  • The DT-150 is a nice warm and balanced sounding set of headphones that tilts slightly slightly toward the dark side of neutral regarding the low mids and bass

Reviews around response (5.00 of 5)

  • I got decent sub-bass response in the left driver, but no sub-bass and
  • It does not reproduce quite the same clarity, or extend the trebles and bass, or roll back the mids the same as the B&W P7 but the Beyer DT-150 does sound "bigger:" and more frequency neutral, and has a better sounding bass response

  • But of course, the bass isn't always that prominent, as it shouldn't be in genres like jazz

Reviews around isolation (5.00 of 5)

  • As closed cans, I find the DT 150's leakage kind of poor, but isolation from outside noise is excellent, as I cannot hear the whir of my computer's fans as I listen to music

  • As their part of the song crescendos, the violins joyfully sing a sweet song of highs that remain light, yet present
  • Prior to writing this review, I was lying down enjoying these headphones, when this beautiful song came on
