I always get the tone I expected out of them, which they sum it up pretty well in the top right corner (super Bright for the prosteels)

As far as quality, and sound quality, they are good strings and a good value.

After being a fanatical user of Dean Markley SR2000 strings, I tried a set of ProSteels on my Line 6 Variax 5 string

The steel is a little rougher on the fingertips than I was expecting, they are steel after all, but I will mark that to my lack of experience in buying.
