The reed sounds great - I haven't played my oboe in years though and lost all my cheek
We also tried a couple of the "Jones Oboe Reed Medium Soft", also though Amazon, and they were pretty good
My daughter's oboe instructor liked the sound these reeds produced, but we did end up with quite a few cracked reeds, either right out of the package or with minimal, proper use.
This is her first year playing the oboe and she likes these best

It does not play the correct sound for each note and breaks easily

Finding a reed proved to be a torture: do not last too long, eyes' popping sound generation, squeaky sound, etc
I have recently switched to mostly playing on synthetic reeds, but when I need a darker, "wooden" sound I use either one of these or Marlin Lesher (though Lesher's quality has gone downhill, I've noticed)
I have purchased a number of these reeds, always hoping for the best, and usually get a superior sound
