The liquid center is very real, very strong espresso with caffeine.

The only bad thing I would say is that it needs plenty of bubble wrap because if the packaging receives ANY kind of pressure, the delicious chocolates will explode and ruin the entire pack...well, not completely ruin it; I'm STILL going to eat the chocolates, but I'd like to do so without getting all the delicious espresso goo all over my fingers.

If you like espresso and dark chocolate you will love these!
