For those of you interested in purchasing and upgrading this kit, I purchased a good quality hasp (8 large wood screws into the gluelam beams) and threaded the cable through the hasp before attaching the padlock.
Great quality and easy set up!
Having said that, I would buy this product over again b/c the overall quality is good (except padlock) and I couldn't find a comparable offering anywhere else.

So I have decided to get this product, overall easy installation if you know your way around power tools and a stud finder this will be an easy installation

The cable seemed very secure and that it would not go anywhere, boy was I wrong
No matter what the instructions state, there is no way to fit the padlock shank through the cable eyelet, which means my flatscreen has an awesome security cable that can't be locked with the included hardware
two issues, the cable is not long enough, and the lock is not the strongest i have ever seen
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is that the cable makes it more difficult to install my TV cover.
The punks tried to rip the cable out of the wall but could not, they even tried to cut the cable with something but only broke the plastic shield around the metal cable.
I feel so much safer after loosing my first 60" TV to creepy hateful thief's
It will not stop a thief but it will slow them down and if they are prepared for it will give the the police time to response to your house alarm
I do suggest you get a supporting base to help deter thief's or giving it extra strength
It may not keep the TV from being stolen but it will certainly deter the thief without the right tools or time.
