The inner case is also leather but a blush color and very elegant looking

only thing i don't like is that theres a paper liner that appears glued in to the rear of the phone holder; and while it says nice things on it --it SHOULD be removed

The leather is soft and it is not too bulky to put in your purse or even your pocket
I started to notice that the faux leather started to rip at the fold of the case
