Yes, I knew that before I bought them, and no, I don't really care, but most gold-plated hardware does seem to fit together more easily, as well as giving you peace of mind that all connections are working without error, but honestly I have no reason to suspect these cables of operating otherwise
They have been a very pleasant surprise and most definitely the best monetary value I have bought yet out of my pocket for the bands use
