For a truly beautiful fretless bass sound these are the best strings out there.

My son "The Rocker", managed to break the G string in the late 80's, so I decided to replace the original set because of that one shiny steel flat wound string so the Bass, a now refurbished Fender Jazz Bass Replica, would have a full set of my all time favorite La Bella Black nylon wraps on it, ready for more years of music making!

I love these strings and will be buying a few more sets, the polish black nylon is smooth as butter

These are a must try, they make any guitar sound better, maybe not your playing so practice, practice

A tip for you here though - we bought a short scale Danelectro bass and tried to fit the La Bellas, but in cutting them to fit we found that if you make the cut on the actual string, rather than the purple shrink-wrapping at the ends, all the tape unravels....and good luck winding it

The taped strings mute any accidental sound but slap still comes through

Let me say I'm sold, put then on a Yamaha RBX-EW and the sound was outstanding, the tone of the guitar shifted down to very pleasant full rounded tone

These strings subdue some of that & really produce a fat sound

Best bass strings for dull, wooden tone

I just recently tried them on my 1973 Precision and was really surprised by the sound - very full sound with great tone.
