This unit replaced my Toshiba TSST CD/DVD/BR which was an amazingly awesome unit and worked until I upgraded to Win 8.1 and MS released the horrible Patch Tuesday last week that knocked out, among other things, the TSST driver

order arrived on time,product worked great,liked it so much ordered a second to have dual burners.

I can't comment on the Nero 12 software as I have not installed it - but it works with my iTunes to burn music CD's just fine.
