The "free" gig bag is a great bonus for this entry-level cajon.
Plus I also like that they added a gig bag to protect it when not in use

Also the case as I said is really nice with nylon web straps for handles, a HD nylon zipper with metal lockable loop, cordura-like woven nylon outer for durability, thin but dense foam padding, and a less abrasive but tough nylon inner lining.

The shaker with the cajon only adds to my daughter's experience--definitely worth it!
In the interest of full disclosure, after delivery of the cajon, Meinl presented an offer for a free shaker to use with the cajon for a verified purchase review of this product
I have found that some heal backs of shoes are too short and won't hold the shaker in place - putting an elastic around my ankle and the shaker keeps it right where it needs to stay
